  • This video will show you how to make any Mac faster using a method that doesn't require opening the computer or removing the original hardware. This performance upgrade is done on a 2017 iMac with 1TB internal SATA HDD. This is an easier than traditional upgrade that anyone can achieve on any Mac computer that is a bit sluggish. This guided tutorial shows how to fix a slow Mac and increase the overall speed and performance on an iMac or any Mac computer. This method can also often yield higher than usual SATA speeds so if you have an older iMac that has a SATA hard drive and Thunderbolt Type-C ports, you can increase the speed and make the computer faster with the method shown in this video on how to fix a slow Mac. In this video I use an M.2 NVMe SSD plugged into a Thunderbolt Type-C port on the rear of the computer. This method can also be done with a 2.5" SSD using regular USB 3.0 ports and it will still be an upgrade and faster than any Internal hard disk drive (HDD) that Mac uses internally. The macOS used in this how to guide is the latest at the filming of this video. Mac OS Monterey 12.4.
