They were part of my childhood. I adore Allo Allo. I loved all the characters and I am sad that many have already left us. But that's how it is. We'll always have ways to watch Allo Allo, and I appreciate the remaining actors doing stuff like this. Truly warms the heart.

I sort of feel the same! If I ever feel a bit low or find myself off work sick I usually get the duvet on the dofa and binge watch as many episodes as I can 🙂
mate this show was aired in Poland in late 90's. It was very popular here cause British sense of humour is very similar to Polish (Flying Circus is still a huge thing here and mr Bean would easily win should he ever tried to run for president) to this day it is my fave comedy series. I loved is as a child, then I grew up, learn the history and actually understand the humour and puns.. Then many years later I decided to learn another foreign language which was English. Now after I learn the language, lived in UK for few years I could watch Allo Allo in a proper way and fully appreciate the humour

Best part in Allo Allo There was a drama war series that was called here "Underground army" ... BBC secret army 1977-1979 Allo Allo was called "Underground army , strikes again" , so clearly people was waiting that it would be a drama and not a parody .
These four appeared at a 'War & Peace Show' in Kent doing autographs for charity a few years back, and I got a photo of Richard Gibson in Herr Flick costume. I thanked him by saying 'Danke Schon' and he switched into Herr Flick and said 'You're Velcome'. A nice memory..!

Yea, definitely the best comedy show I have ever seen. I'm from The Netherlands and they keep showing it on tv here, every other year, and people keep watching. You know a show is pure magic when, no matter how often you have seen the episodes and know every scene and text, you keep laughing

I had had the Privilege of having dinner with them. I am part of a living history group and we put on our own event in august, and they came as the special guests. They were an absolute delight to work with. We were drilled by Flick and he never strayed from character. At the end of the drill, (in the parade ground) I fixed my bayonet. Allo Allo will always have a special place in my heart. Used to watch as a young boy on a sunday evening before having to go to bed before school on Monday. It was joyous to watch, but as soon as the end theme started and the words "You have been watching" appeared, i knew the weekend was over!
Richard Gibson looks so happy it's adorable! And Guy has gone from innocent cute gay boy to slightly disgruntled grandpa XD this makes me so happy, I love this lot

Being a Indian I have never seen this series on the T.V. until now ,when it was repeated on the UA-cam, fun to meet the cast ,I really enjoyed Herr Flick, & private Helga.
What a fantastic show that was. I have the full set of dvds and whenever I feel sad I just take one episode and it cheers me up immediately. Something that was not said here and as a French man I must emphasize the fantastic way Gordon Kaye succeeded to take a french accent while speaking. It's a huge error to have dubbed the series in French for the French audience, it takes 50% of the whole flavor and wit of this extraordinary show. Also the writers made a perfect analysis of the French mentality and way of life of that sinister period where you had a very few courageous guys men or women taking enormous risks to oppose the occupation and sadly a majority of people who would try not to face things and of course worse who would collaborate.
The best very best series I had ever watched exceptional still watching it today on UA-cam again and again especially when I’m down it changes my mood and I start laughing my head off Now more and more because I’m a pensioner wish them all the very very best BEST. God Love them all.
I agree. There are only a tiny tiny handful of comedy shows that you can rewatch over and over again and never get sick of and that will always make you belly laugh." Allo Allo" and "Fawlty Towers" were two of them. They definitely don't make comedy shows like they used to.
As much as I sooo want to watch this video, I'm 2 minutes in and the host/interviewer has just completely killed the vibe and the interview! 🙄 It's great to see all these fantastic actors from such an amazing show, but what a let down on the audience and presenter's side! Even though I'm not British (I'm Thai), I used to live in Europe for quite some time. Enjoy watching the show and admired these characters individually, they were most brilliant actors by the way. I loved every member off Allo Allo. I think my favourate line was "you stupid woman, can you not see this poor servant girl is" and definatly the "good moaning". I would wait for those lines in each show.
Here in Greece Allo Allo aired only once (as far as I can recall) back in the early nineties and having seen it as a young man I couldn't remember it very well other that it was a hilarious British show. Even if I had forgotten most of the story (we never had a rerun and if you missed an episode that was it) there was that scene with the onion sellers etched in my memory for years. "That fun show with the onion sellers, if I could only remember the rest". Then DVD's arrived and UA-cam and I can again see that genius of a show. Now as an older man I can appreciate the humor as brilliant and clean. And in a way as a excellent farce where everyone was a caricature, it wasn't offensive and I believe everyone can have a laugh now no matter from which part of Europe or the world you are.
the interviewer is a complete idiot, isn't he? he messed up Guy Siner's name twice (and slightly annoyed Guy, still he carried on as if nothing had happened) he was dressed as if he were in his back garden fixing a fence. Richard Gibson even joked about his appearance, but he was too thick to get the joke. many of the questions he asked were pretty silly, you could see the actors were embarrassed.("it's not slapstick- it's farce"...e.g.) he had a very annoying attitude. STILL! the actors were superb! they saved the event and the day!

If i remember rightly he was in a car accident.from series 2 onwards you can still see the scar in the middle of his forehead

As a child of the 80's I was glued to allo allo. Now at forty I'm still binging on the boxset. Timeless comedy at its best.
