Thanks Dave! I just ordered a BushMule and had no idea what ESC's are in it. I've only ever used the little programmer with ESC's before. Like the comment before mine, I will be coming back to this video many times. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks Dave. After watching this I was able to synch the motors on my bushmule. They were running at different speeds and one had brake set, the other didn't. Made for some interesting landings. So easy to do once the beeps are explained. Cheers
#21: Nice to know how to do it if you do not know how to do it, I love the new intro Dave, short, clean and nice colors. The bush-mule is coming along nicely. Cheers.
I think you are really #8 if you don't count my posts, congrats :-) That intro was from the Magix templates. It kind of reminds me of those DIY auto mechanic TV shows where they pitch upgrade parts.
I just watched this video , did what you said and I’ll be dammed if it didn’t work. Thanks!!! I’m running a EDF on a rc car. Two completely different esc’s and it worked flawlessl!! ✌🏻😁👍🏻
Enjoyed the video . I subscribed. 👍 I used to fly a lot . But have not flew in many years . I was in the attic yesterday and took down a couple of planes . I have old JR controllers and the batteries were gone . So I ordered some new radios so I can teach my grandkids to fly on a buddy cord . My name is Tim and I live in Las Vegas. I'm retired pipefitter welder out of local #525 .... I like the plane you used in the video . I have quite a few planes in the attic. Some nitro and some electric brushless. All nice . Just old lol 😆
a question ? on the outrunner brushless rc aircraft motors can the motor timing be adjusted with the motor itself ? or only the esc settings ? thanks for the response.
ThankDave for your reply, have many planes and tried middle and down doesn't seem to affect full throttle just seems motors start earlier, like to have one or two notches before they do, so will stick with middle as you say. Good info thanks again for your reply much app! Just bought mine awaiting maiden gonna stick with flaps at half for first landing, any advice or vices it may have would appreciate any info. Kind regards Graham.
I think this will be one of those videos that people keep coming back to. Just like the ones I used to always end up looking at.... your EZUHF ones. How's the mini talon build coming along Dave? I have 3 new planes to build which I'll be revealing next weekend :-)
To be honest the mini talon is very close to done but I did get sidetracked on the Bush Mule. The Bush Mule is so attractive because I don't have to throw it. I will be looking forward to your reveal!
Very interesting procedure :) You don't have a software for selecting the different options for your ESCs? What firmware are they running by the way? Love the new format of the videos! Very enjoyable :) Thanks for sharing and have a great week Dave :)
This twin airplane is a different situation than a miniquad because there is no configuration tool and no multirotor FC. It's just too ESCs on a Y-cable. Happy to hear that you like the new format of the video. I will do a tutorial on how it was done with Magix movie editor soon.
If your talking about a reversed motor you can just swap two of the three wires. Or if you have a reversing ESC it could be the channel is reversed or both.
Dave Merc Productions thanks for taking the time to respond. When I match up the ESC colors with the motor, they both spin CW, but when I swap two of the three wires on one side, It pushes that motor backwards (reverse) and CCW. So now I have CCW with one motor going forward when the other going reverse.
Hi Dave! That was a short but sweet video and I needed the refresher. I noticed your handy on/off switch for the plane. Is that something you and Jon came up with or did you buy it somewhere? Thanks...
I actually made a whole video about that short stopper. Long story short I had to make it unlisted because someone claimed trade mark infringement. ua-cam.com/video/p5aF5kQertg/v-deo.html
Your videos came in handy when i needed to put my BM together. Thanks. Now i know why brake is useful on a glider but does it have the same benefit on a plane like this? With brake on would there be less drag and a extended glide slope?
I am finding that bush mule works better with the brake off so the props spin freely. It will stall without the motors running. I think the brake is most useful with a folding prop like on a glider.
I need a help... Actually.. I connect 2 different motor with two different esc to 1 3s lipo battery... Problem is same.. when I turn on my remote.. I can here sounds of two esc with different time beeping.. ND my motors running one after another rpm.. after throttle..
Dave,I think I asked the wrong question. How does your switch setup work that you used on the plane in this video, the switch to turn the plane on and off? Or is it just the smoke stopper? Tony
I have them on a y-cable for now but you can do it either way. Perhaps you want differential thrust for example then you could use separate throttle channels.
its 3am and after a lot of work my engines wouldnt sync...
But now.... I love you..... thanks!
It's great to be loved. Thanks for the comment!
Can this be fix for flyskyi6 because my controller is different than yours but if yes can you help me to fix it?

Super! Great you got it working.
@@DaveMerc Can this be fix for flyskyi6 because my controller is different than yours but if yes can you help me to fix it?
Thanks for the informative video. My motors on the Bushmule looked ok but went ahead and re-calibrated just in case.
Great. I didn't know of this function. Hopefully it will stop the yaw on my twin and take off straight up the strip.
Thanks to your video I have my twin motors all in sync. Working great. Thank you.
Nice video Dave! Those darn beeps can be confusing. Your explanation was spot on!
Fergy
Thanks Fergy! Later you will see how I made the movie.

No, you're good.

Great vid super demistafying , thankyou heaps 😎

Is it possible to program a switch to control twin engines separately? Have the ability to go to idle with one engine?
Great video Dave, very clear and informative....You just need to listen carefully to those beeps...!!!
It's like learning Morse Code :-)
Thanks I hope it works my motor starts spinning as soon I arm it with the stick being all the way down everything in the transmitter is even
Did it work?
Great project and presentation

Thanks for stopping by my channel. Thanks for the comment!
I have done differential thrust and my motor in aux channel is spinning faster than motor in ch3 i tried everything plse help me

Can you help? Which way should twin motor spin? Both inwards from the top or outwards from the top?
Both inwards from the top.
@@DaveMerc Thanks, much appreciated.
AWESOME... thank you so much....
Very Nice video.
It's really working thankyou so much
Hi buddy why does both escs beeping?? Thanks
Good Idea brother I like 💕👍
SUPER HELP FULL TKS
Thanks for the video, I just cant figure out why one of my counter rotating props in my twin is in reverse. thanks in advance.

On the throttle calibration did you have the trim set in the middle or at the down lowest point?
Middle is what I use.

Very interesting, Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Are you using a PUSHER prop on the motor with the SWAPPED ESC wire?
The plane (Bush Mule) came with two counter-rotating props. I like to set twins up so that the top of the props turns toward the fuselage.
Dave Merc Productions thanks
Did you use diferente propeller?
Counter rotating Props came with it
Dave,Is the video for your short stopper not available to view? Or do you have a schematic? Thanks, Tony
I more information is the description of another video here:

You should get two of the same ESC or there can be problems.
Awesome, thank you :-) Great explanation, well presented :-)
Glad you like it! I was trying some different filming techniques for a Magix tut, coming soon.
Nice plane. Nice build. Which ON / OFF Switch you are using...???
I am using a smoke stopper with a switch that we made ourselves.

Dave,I think I asked the wrong question. How does your switch setup work that you used on the plane in this video, the switch to turn the plane on and off? Or is it just the smoke stopper? Tony
It's just the short stopper. It has a switch. Very handy!
What is the kv rating of these brushless motor
They are the stock motors that come with the BM 3536-850KV

are you running a y cable or are both esc's on their own channel?

Nice vid👍
thanks for the up thumb!
I love ur voice cool!
In your video I can here sound of only one esc
