- Here's a bit of wildfire fighting action, featuring two Bell 212 medium lift helicopters picking up water off of Kootenay Lake to fight a forest fire in the area.
The two helicopters filmed are:
Wildcat Helicopters Bell 212 C-FOHK equipped with a belly tank.
Hydra Helicopters Bell 212 C-FNPG with the Eagle Single conversion, seen swooping in and picking up water with a long line and Bambi bucket. - Авто та транспорт
Very cool footage. No mistaking that Bell sound! 🚁
Thanks! They do make a good sound for sure.
Jesse, very nice to catch a Bell in action, hate to know there may be a fire, could just be a drill exercise, anyway, nice job my good friend
Noooo, not a drill exercise. Lots of fires here in British Columbia during the Summer.
@@VMCAviationVideos i don't like to hear that, sorry my friend
Thanks very much Steve! It's always fun to see these wildfire fighting helicopters in action, though it usually means that we're getting some bad fires in the area. We got pretty lucky this summer though, and didn't have anything too bad in the area. Summer 2017 and 2018 were horrible though, so much smoke!
@@TheHDAviation - I agree, the best summer fire/smoke wise for many years
I absolutely love the 212 and this was a huge bonus for you to catch them in action, huge like from me, great footage :)
Thanks Ed! These were definitely fun to see in action.
Maybe this is your favorite Helicopter Ed,
@@keenxiandreefuego3731 It's at the top of my list for sure 😎👍
Fantastic shots of the Bell 212s mate
Thanks a lot!
@@TheHDAviation No problem mate
well done catches again!!!
Thanks a lot!
Interesting to see this proces from up close. Nice footage Jesse, well done! How are things going there at the moment? Still a lot of wildfires?
Thanks very much Mylos! Things are good now, luckily we haven't had any bad wildfire in the area this year.
Beatuful takes, gretings from Quilpue, Chile.
Thanks a lot!
It's always a pleasure to see those helicopters on action, but I feel a big pity to see fires in the green British Columbia :(
I agree friend, in my post i stated that i hoped it was a drill exercise, have a great day my friend
Luckily it wasn't too bad this summer, much better than the last couple. Thanks for watching!

Stunningly awesome! really enjoyed seeing them 212s fly in and out like that.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome footage. I've never seen the process of filling the helicopters up with water using the hoses before!
Thanks! This was a fun one to get to see.
Great video!
That must suck to be a pilot for the fire brigade. Flying in a repeating cycle for 6-8 hours a day. God bless them
I bet it would, not fun conditions to be flying in!
Great and very interesting video from my favourite youtuber 😊 Impressive fire fighting action 🚁. I hope the fire was soon extinguished. Huge like 👍 Cheers Matt
Thanks so much Matt! Luckily there aren't any bad fires in the area this year, so much better than the last couple summers.
Woah. That’s really cool! What would the world do without aviation?
So true, always cool to see the different roles aviation plays!
Excellent film footage and sound.
Thanks!
Great vid! Always so cool to see these in action
Thanks a lot!
Great sound great helicopter
Love the 212, they're always fun to see in action!
Love them. Only ever got to take 1 helicopter ride ( technically 2 , there and back ) , out to a glacier
I've only had a couple short helicopter flights as well. Love the sensation though!
@@TheHDAviation I got to be right at the landing sight for a couple of Cobra attack helis though. Gonna put that footage sometime this week hopefully
awesome, video, bell 212 firefighters, great action, thanks for sharing it :)
Thanks so much Cesar!
Awesome 😎 That sound is so great !!
Thanks a lot!
How much water would that hold
Awesome!
Which one carries the most water? The red one or the one with the bucket?
bitethedevil the red one
Stunning video man!
Thanks a lot!
It's amazing how a two-blade rotor can support the weight of these machines.
Very nice video specially the sound! Thumbs up for the Bell not for the wild fire :-(
Thanks a lot! These 212's were fun to see in action.
@@TheHDAviation YES :-)
Amazing catch man!! :D
Thanks a lot!
No tail numbers and pilots sitting opposite the bubble? Can someone please explain?
Very interesting video.
Thanks for watching!
É um espetáculo....👏👏👏👏👏
why tf do I find helicopters so cool lol!
B!G like for the guzzling helo!
How much water does the first one hold?
studinthemaking 350 gallons, or 1400 litres depending on what measurement system you use
you didn't get any film of my landings?
I'm not sure, which day was that? I'll try to catch you some time in the future!
Was that you flying?
Wow que baliente la que se aserca al agua🖒
They should use helicopters and planes for ambulance and fire fighters because it’s a lot more safer and a lot more quicker as well because every time I see firetrucks in emergencies they always have problems want to try to get through the roads and highways there’s lots of cars lots of people don’t get in the hospital in time or get to the fire that is burning in time
Mmmmm that sound🤓
These 212's do make quite a nice noise!
😍😍😍😍🇨🇴🇨🇴
Nice Capture!
Nice catch 👍if you want to see others helicopters and planes videos, check my channel 😉
