Yeah i wonder if Bill actually succeed then if Dipper can be save? Maybe using the shape shifter to banish it mind forever and Dipper can possessed that body maybe even gainning it power. But what if Dipper never get back his body how the hell would Mabel would explain this to everyone? Would Dipper basically become Mabel guidance ghost for enternity? Would Armageddon even happen? How would Mabel cope with Dipper not even a physical body anymore?
7:57 Actually, that’s the mindscape, a realm of thought and dreams. The spoiler free answer is that Bill has no physical form at all, as he lives in a much more complex dimension of thought. Thus the only way he can interact with those of a “physical persuasion” is either by pulling them into a dream for a chat, or by outright possessing a person, as you’ve seen.
Fun fact: Dipper was asleep when he saw the countdown. Isn’t it convenient that the laptop would only display it when he is tired out of his mind after trying thousands of different combinations and how the countdown goes from a few minutes to seconds in a instant? As always love your reactions :))
Definitely agree with that, Bill has already been established to be unable to manifest in the physical world unless summoned, so he wouldn't have been able to appear in front of Dipper like that unless they were in the mindscape (in this case, Dipper's dream). Plus if the laptop was going to have a limit for password attempts it would have kicked in a LONG time before then. Bill 100% played Dipper there.
@@kenjutsukata1o1 It makes even more sense as everytime Bill shows up in someone's mind, the world becomes gray. The same happens when Dipper makes the deal. As you mentioned, the only reason Mabel and Soos saw him during that one episode is because Gideon actually summoned him opposed to Bill just showing up on his own. And the only reason why the window was still red when Bill potentially fell asleep (when he yawned) is due to Bill not showing up yet.
@@Megaman-2407 While it was never confirmed, everything points to this theory being true. It's also the one theory that everyone has basically accepted by now.
A few spoiler-free things 1. The poster of Candy and Grenda got torn apart when sev'ral times had a musical number, so Mabel fixed it. That's actually really cute. 2. The creators confirmed that the laptop didn't have a password limit. Dipper fell asleep and Bill manipulated his dream to trick him. 3. someone else put this together, but I find this interesting. Remember the invisible wizard? Alex Hirsch said the invisible wizard keeps untying Dipper's shoes. A code hidden in the show about Bill reads, "I have eyes in many places, I have friends with many faces, I keep the Pines in proper places, don't look now, I untied your laces." Meaning Bill is the invisible wizard. In the Carpet episode, Grenda comes out of the closet known for hiding the invisible wizard saying, "I don't know what I was kissing in there, but I have no regrets!" And now Bill calls Grenda a monster in this episode. Do with that information what you will.
If you buy the third journal, Mabel mentions finding a note on the bottom of the car seat from Bill saying when he's done with Dipper's body, he would throw it off the water tower. And then says "Wanna join him, Shooting Star?"
The reason the BFF poster of Candy and Grenda was torn is because in the Several Timez episode Mabel ripped it and told the boyband to kick them out. Also in the first episode in season one when Dipper finds the book he puts his hand on it and you see the six finger sticking out so this isn't the first time we see it on the book I think you just forgot until it became more obvious in the second season
7:02 Fun fact: a cipher is a code. Bill cipher. Neat ain’t it? 11:19 Right here. Ok, so you know how dipper said he saw bill in his dreams? And how bill summons things from thin air, or removed the dear teeth and gave it to Gideon? Well bill was never actually there. When everything goes grey, it isn’t because time stopped its because the person interacting with bill is asleep. Bill can manipulate the dream however he wants. Why does that matter here? Well, y’know how the laptop only took 4 days of attempts to deny access completely? How does that make sense? Well, notice how dipper closes his eyes right before the count down? There’s a theory that he actually fell asleep right at that moment and bill tricked him into thinking the laptop was counting down. It’s never likely bill is physically there. Final thing: In the car, Bipper was writing a note. It read: NOTE TO SELF: Possessing people is hilarious! To think of all the sensations I’ve been missing out on - Burning, stabbing, drowning. It’s Buffet tray of fun! Once I destroy that journal, I’ll enjoy giving this body its grand finale - by throwing it off a water tower! Best of all, people will just think pine tree lost his mind, and his mental form and his mental form will wander in the mindscape forever. Want to join him shooting star? This message was left in the car for Mabel to find, so she’d find out why dipper killed himself, and for bill to taunt her to follow suit… in the end, Mabel did find this note. She never showed anyone though.
I am so glad you rewound to hear the Biper. It's great! A biscotti is an Italian almond cookie shaped kind of like a finger. Double-baiting: you think this episode will reveal the greatest secrets of gravity falls, only to make you think it will only be about sock puppets and this week's Mabel crush. But wait, there's more! Boom, here, have a Bill episode. And what episode! XD
I love how Bill just gets a huge kick out of the concept of pain. Clearly he doesn't normally feel it, at least not in the same way that humans do. The way he just kept causing himself pain out of fascination was morbidly hilarious. Also Bill seems to have to consciously operate many of the parts of the body we do without thinking. Like how when he blinked it was out of sync. And I assume one can't possess a body with a spirit already inside, thus why Bill pulled Dipper's spirit out before possessing his body. So jumping in Soos or Wendy wasn't an option. The production value of Mabel's show was through the roof, I would be stoked to see a puppet show of that caliber in real life. Though I suppose I might have been a little miffed if I almost got hit by fireworks at the end, lol. And I think someone else has already mentioned the biscotti being a type of amazing biscuit/cookie thing, but I don't know if anybody mentioned that Mabel was mistaking 'Biscotti' for 'Bugatti', a very, *very* expensive brand of luxury car. Like, 1.7 million dollars for the 'cheapest' model levels of expensive. They can go up to 18-20 million for the higher end models. And let's see... off the top of my memory, while he was in Dipper's body Bill: - Slapped himself in the face multiple times. - Stretched his face way further than it should go - Allowed himself to freely fall backwards down the stairs. - Poured carbonated soda directly into his open eyes. - Slammed his hand in the kitchen drawer multiple times (which resulted in multiple forks being stuck into his hand). - Got clobbered by Mabel with a heavy book. It's a miracles Dipper could even walk after getting his body back XD The Gobblewonker Guy/Grunkle Stan puppets were references to Statler and Waldorf, two characters from the muppets who always heckle whatever's happening in the muppet shows/movies. If you've ever seen a Muppets production you've probably seen them at some point. And Bill definitely doesn't seem to be the sort of demon who can be trusted to fulfill his end of a bargain. Historically there have been tales of demons who very much honor the bargains they make, they just ask a high favor in return (often the soul of the one they made the bargain with). But Bill don't play like that, clearly.
Fun fact: you were right about bill being a psychopath. In journal 3 specjal edition on bill page author on second page writted: "counterattack strategy: ??????? The triangle is suppose to be the most Stable shape in geometry but there is nothing more unstable then this angular psychopath! The damage hes done to my thoughts is impossible to calculate.
