David's sound is where I wish Country music was today - the great story-telling ballads. His "The Sound of a Million Dreams" album is excellent in that. The "Country" music sound today, sadly, is the sound of harsh guitars, tear-up with my pick-up truck, in-your-face rather than from-the-heart. As George Strait put it, "the steel guitars no longer cry and fiddles barely play, but drums and rock 'n roll guitars are mixed up in your face."
that's how i'll remember you should have been a smash hit for David but sometimes those things happens when when you don't kiss your record company's ass like he wouldn't with Mercury. you stood up for your independence David and that's worth more than money. this is one of the best songs written by any other Mercury Records artists, for sure... thumbs up bud!!!

Keep up the fight, your songs cary the power you just haven't hit the main stream,each day will draw you closer to that because we will keep sharing your work.
