  • Archbishop Mitty is a parochial high school in San Jose, CA. Thanks to a donation of 8mm film from David Machado, we get a chance to look back at the graduation ceremony of the class of 1970. Note that at this time Mitty was an all-male school - later Archbishop Mitty merged with Mother Butler and became co-ed.

I’m class of 2005. Which makes me and those people 35 years apart.

So proud of my big brother, Tim McCarthy, leading the way as valedictorian, along with our great friend, Jim Sweeney, Salutatorian. I don’t see my brother-in-law Pat Donohoe in the video, but I did witness him graduate! Love those station wagons and women’s fashion statements at the end.🤣
