  • Zhujiajiao is a place where ancient traditions merge beautifully with modern life. It's a quaint Watertown only a short 1hr metro ride away from Shanghai. Filled with twisting waterways, cobblestone streets, and curved rock bridges, where you'll find yourself fully immersed in a world of cute tea houses, centuries-old residences, and lively market stalls serving up some local delicacies, it's a living museum of Chinese culture, craftsmanship, and history dating back as far as the Ming Dynasty in the 1300s and is truly an enchanting, ancient gem nestled within China.

I was in Venice in February, kind of disappointed. Chinese water towns have very different vibe, at least they are cuter, cleaner, older and more exquisite and affordable than Venice. I personally prefer Chinese water town. Don't know why people keep dubbing them as Venice of China. Thank you for sharing anyway.

@@kevinaa114 This is true, but these towns were built mainly of wood, and over the years they were destroyed by war and rebuilt. You can't preserve an old, beautiful building like Venice. But if you talk about the history of these towns dating back to 100 BC, the historical environment of China determined that the north produced warriors to defend against and invade the nomads, and the south produced grain to feed these warriors.
At that time, we did not have more technology to transport food, mainly through land transport and river transport to ensure the delivery of food to the north, so the town you see today was only to protect the river transport of small forts and posts for troops to rest, people around these buildings slowly developed into towns, forming today's towns.

    在中国送女友或妻子一把梳子是表达爱的意思,一梳到白头,表示对伴侣的爱从年轻到老去是长时间的忠贞😊😊

I am very sorry, as a Chinese, I apologize for the female middle-aged saleswoman at the end of the video, her forced sales of her products and showing a look of anger is really ugly, most of us Chinese people will not be like this, she can not replace Chinese people, can not replace Shanghai people, can not replace the salesman. I watched the video and I was so angry that I didn't want to finish it at one point, I was really humiliated. I like your video content very much, you are very friendly, gentle and sunny, and you are spreading the beautiful side of China. Unfortunately, your beautiful journey was ruined by her.

Stop being dramatic and since you didn't do anything, there's no need for you to apologize for her. There are people like that everywhere in the world, their journey was not ruined by her.
