"I've Tasted. And I know the Lord is Good." sang The Rathbuns, a family of used car salesmen whose pitch, "You shall feel the wrath of my buns if you don't drive this car home today!", inspired their hit song: "I've Gone the Way of Wrong." Oh, so wrong.
this wasnt the video i was looking for but... the afternoon teabaggers?! LMAO! also- i still have my copy of Barren Cross....and some equally disturbing christian rock albums from the 80s
Great video, I collect similar album covers, but sadly my collecting has lapsed. I am inspired to renew the quest. The only cover I have featured in the video is the singing rathbuns, a classic.
@@gilly3380 You have no idea how much I dig Kevin Lien. Been following him since the days he worked with Frank Huang, AKA Ice1Cube, doing their parodies. Kevin's acapella version of "Under the Mistletoe" is my must play for every December.
Some great ones here, but the one by JJ. Worthington at 4:06 is not a Christian album. He may be a Christian, but the songs are all covers of pop/rock tunes from the 60's. Still a funny cover though...
Bruno 'Heaven's Hitman' Maltise looks like something from Dr Who, and The Faith Tones feature a young Graham Norton and Stephen Fry! There was a lot of "touching" going on back then. I am intrigued by young Greg Kendrick's album title, 'He Touched Me'. I wonder if he ever recorded with Paul Gadd or appeared on Top Of The Pops?
2:39 I'm not sure if Jesus is ever going to use the Faith Tones, as they have requested him too. However, I might well think of them the next time I'm in danger of, uh, finishing too soon, if you get my drift. Thanks, ladies!
4:36 ... photoshopped... the real cover lists all the real tracks, although this is funnier... A lot of old lps covers (Christian and otherwise) get photoshopped..
"Jesus Used Me," but my hair was done with a leaf blower and shellac.
I heard The Singing Midget could hit the low notes pretty good but couldn't reach the high notes.
Now, that's funny !
Whole lot of touching going on.
"Sex Education for Children," featuring a PRIEST on the cover!
Now that IS awkward!!!
@Tom Meadows Father Shenanigan and Father O'Feely were both ordained by Pope Pederasty the Third
You should rename this list “The Scary religious album covers that includes really bad hairdos”. 😭😭😭🙏😭😭😭
All you people who got touched on these album covers should go to the cops and report that some one touched you .
"Jesus Is All Jou Need." I know they didn't have spellcheck back then, but wow.
A lot of these covers were seriously scary.
how on earth could anyone find those covers appealing? most of them are utterly creepy downright scary
The Faith Tones, David MItchell, Eddie Izzard and Stephen Fry in 60's Drag.
Ok who else but me paused the video to do a Wikipedia check on each album cover??? ✋🏻
now i understeand Freud when he said "religion is comparable to a childhood neurosis"
Why would these geeks only tea-bag in the afternoon?
because they leave their wives and children in the morning.....
The Faithtones didn't have hairdos. Those were war helmets.
Ira North, ''if I were a woman''......dahrlin' You Already Are.

kinda curious about the sex education content
The worst thing to strike Christianity since the Spanish Inquisition....”and Jesus said, ‘Forgive them, Father, they know not what they record!” 😁
So hard to choose a favorite, but I gotta get a shout out to "Heaven's HitMan". Hahaha
Poor dude.. looks like the creature from the black lagoon

Christ! This made my week! Thank you Jesus lol!!
SICK, Christian's!!!
Despite the bad album cover, Badren Cross offered some heavier Christian rock. We needed that.
These are just plain creepy.
