Whole other ball game Joe if you want to get into it right. I recommend you build a trailer rig dedicated strictly for it. Hot water unit, acid, chemical, 2 step gun or 2 step remote system. You’ll need to know your surfaces, acids and soaps. Quite a bit more entailed then softwashing. More limitations, etc.

Wow, that’s a coincidence, I had a friend refer me to a trucking company and I’m also trying to figure the best method. My lead is just regular highway grime though, concrete dust seems tricky for sure. Definitely following! Keep crushing it Joe!

I got into fleet washing this year, there’s lots of chemicals out there that work pretty good, your also probably best with a 2 step gun, lots of options out there but you want to be fast and efficient with fleet it’s great for the winter to keep money coming in that’s the major reason I got into it

Purple power degreaser as a primary and foam cannon with chemical guys. Use a soft bristle brush. That's the cheapest high quality route. Pro-nano and liquid wax is the high end way to go.

Joe I’d probably stay away from that fleet if it was myself. I have only one easy fleet. Those trailers are dry bulk trailers and are very awkward to wash and soap. Aluminum brightener makes them look good but will not look even at all due to the shape of them. Also would need to use brightener every single wash since those trailers go through hell in a month so would be very costly and time consuming. Stick to houses!

Get it, you dont need a two step gun or a hot water rig and i recommend washing concrete trucks. 400 to 1000 per truck. Fleet washing is ok if ypu want to wash 20 trucks at 45 to 75 per truck , on the other hand ypu can wash 5 concrete trucks at 400 in 3 hours and make 2,000 no two step bs.

Your buddy Russ from Southside has a product called SUPER CRETE RELIEF. It'll be a great chemical for removing concrete and getting the fleet clean. I've never removed concrete from trucks so wouldn't know what to charge but you could just do an hourly rate because I hear ready mix trucks take a fair bit of effort to get clean. Best of luck Joe!

@@powerfulimprovements More like $300 per truck. Billing per truck allows invoice notes on damage discovery, and keeps that documentation clean for fleet insurers. I did that after my first insurance cleaning job. 6 cars, all covered in manure. Had to document the damage on each in my invoice notes.

    Congratulations Joe!
Kleen Rite has a LARGE selection of cleaning soaps, which you will need. Hot water is must for the road rigs.
The high rise tube...check with local dot on regs for doing cleaning that involves objects over roadways. You may also want to look into water reclaiming systems. TN doesn't really busy it, but I'm not sure a out your area. Lastly, get a lift for the job. Work smarter not harder.

Get a foam gun specifically for cleaning vehicles, low pressure for the cleaning foam let it soak or dwell a bit, then full pressure wash.... The first cleaning will be tough, but the monthly cleaning will be a breeze.

I think I would pass on the trucks. My efforts would be best spent elsewhere. I had a guy call me to wash the top of his RV yesterday. I really wanted to help him out, but I’m not walking on top of an RV, 12’ high and have to scrub. “I don’t need the sides done, just the top”. That juice ain’t worth the squeeze

I'd stay away from those trucks. You'll make way more washing houses. I use to do all the FedEx trucks. By the time you buy all your chemicals to clean them and the time it takes to wash one you could've made $600 washing a house. Most trucking companies dont wanna pay anything you'll be lucky if they'll pay $100 a truck and that ain't worth it . To Time consuming for the money they pay.

Congratulations Joe, your business is constantly growing! I’m thinking you’ll want hot water to help dissolve the mud and grease. Hit those pneumatic trailers with aluminum brightener after washing the muck off of them. Interstate truck washes such as Blue Beacon use aluminum brighteners, just avoid getting it on any polished aluminum or it’ll dull the shine.
