They really pay homage to all the artists that inspire them and it shows. That’s the main reason why for me as someone who’s grown up listening to RnB and Hip-Hop really appreciates what their doing not only with these side projects but even in their original music. Hinata also did a cover, which was especially impactful because that specific song she did was one she’s been honing in her talent on since her trainee days. Julia absolutely slayed her cover! I ended up downloading the song that Hinata covered because I liked it so much. I also ended up downloading the songs that Juria used in her Mash-up cover, plus I recorded her part because I loved it so much. I would love an album of their covers with these songs featured on it.
The vocal line definitely needs to get some recognition. Lots of people get pulled in because of the rap line on Tapes, but for me it’s the vocals that hold everything together. Hinata sounding better every time, Juria slays everything she touches, Chisa has charisma and smoothness like no other idol, then all 3 harmonizing on no scrubs…this Vox is incredible.
