I have a question that spark plug did you connect to the long headers the ones that had the short one or the catalyst
Spark Plug? There were no Spark Plugs connected to the Headers. Are you talking about the O2 Sensors?
@ Yes, that's about the 02 sensor, but I don't know if I connected the ones that had the short headers to the long ones or the ones that had the catalyst
The short ones are connected but I don’t have Cats anymore so the 2nd Set that would go into those are tucked away

Funny you mention chopping considering what I’ve just bought. Just haven’t officially made a statement on it 😂 But man I really recommend doing Long Tubes. Thing sounds insane going under bridges and through tunnels

I put stainless works 1 7/8" headers on my 2019 R/T in September. It took 15 hours from start to finish. I matched it with a MBRP cat back exhaust. It's loud as fuck and sounds amazing. If you're going to do headers make sure you straight pipe the catback. You won't be disappointed.
Nah a big fan of Straight Pipe so I kept the Rear Mufflers. Ditched the Cats and the Mid Mufflers though!
Can't ditch my cats in NY there's no way it'd pass inspection. But your's sounded good with the rear mufflers on it still.
Worst case scenario I’d have to buy a Catted Midpipe here in Illinois. But from what I’ve read they don’t check for Cats. I’m switching to E85 when I get my tune that way it can throw them off 😂

what you do to afford the rt? how much is insurance
I’m a Utility Locator (Translation: I mark out underground gas lines and gas mains). Insurance is pretty trash for me because I live in Chicago and I’m not in the best of neighborhoods. Plus there’s a Carjacking problem in the city right now and MOPARS are at the top of the list so I pay around $400. Not to mention my car is a 2020 so it’s on the newer side
Bro quick question u didn’t have to buy mid pipes right can’t you use the factory ones ?
I used my Factory Mid Pipes. I tried to buy Mids afterwards but JBA said they can’t sell Long Tubes or Mid Pipes any more because they’re not 50 State Legal. So I had my Midpipes Welded on to my Headers. If you look around you’ll probably be able to find a different Midpipe that’ll fit to JBA’s
Ok so yeah that answer my question so u can use the factory mid pipes cause I didn’t know if the factory mid pipes would fit and I don’t have time to buy mid pipes cause I have a show to make in like less than 3 days lol
Yeah Factory Mids will work. Just have to go to a Muffler Shop and explain what you want. I was Open Headers for about 2 weeks after this with no tune. Car ran like garbage and fuel economy was horrendous 😂
Lmaoooo I bet that the mpg was trash lol but another question for u bro I’m sorry for a lot of question this my first time doing headers so the v band clamps that come with the Headers like the hardware u don’t need those cause ur going to weld the mid pipes instead of using the clamps to hold them right or no
Right. If you’re just gonna weld them on you wouldn’t need the clamps. Muffler Shop should have a Pipe Expander/Fitter to adjust the size where they just hook up to your Headers and they’d be able to weld them on. The only con would be that if you do weld them on using Factory Mids, you’d have to cut your Cats off. That and the Headers exhaust would 2 long parts that you’d have to take off altogether as a whole if you need to move them.
What mufflers you have on? I like those. I got jba with carven
Deleted the Mid Mufflers and didn’t replace them with aftermarket mufflers. I’m also Catless. So the setup at this point in time is JBA Long Tube Headers and The exhaust is Straight Piped to the Rear Resonators.

Did you get a tune after the installation? I'm thinking about going long tubes, but I'm also worried about not passing emissions. Lol
I’m still no tune. I had to find a shop and get a quote. Also had to buy the HP Tuners and the PCM Unlock so I’d say just get all your quotes and funds in order first. If you buy a Catted Midpipe along with the Long Tubes, there’s no reason you wouldn’t pass Emissions. Well unless you live in California or somewhere with awful car mod restrictions
Hey brother . I just bought a JBA long tube headers for my 2018 charger RT and I wanted to know can I use the headers to connect to my stock mid pipe ? Or do I need to buy a separate mid pipe for JBA
I connected my stock Midpipe to my JBAs. Only thing is that you’ll have to cut your Cats off to get them on

It’s only an issue if whatever the emissions for your state is actually checks for Cats. We’re from Chicago and our emissions only consist of checking for Error Codes on the Dashboard. If you get them welded on like I did though, the Headers, Midpipe, and Exhaust will become one big piece so if you wanted to drop your Exhaust you either have to cut it or drop the headers too.

I got headers on my hellcat u don’t need a tune nothing gone happen but ur engine light is gone stay on
Tune optimizes performance and my car isn’t running well without one. Especially with the Cat Delete. It’s always checking for the Secondary O2 Sensors which I don’t use any more so fueling and everything is off.
