It doesn't sound about the same, like at all, don't know why don't notice the differences. Maybe try a different USB cable (it does make a huge difference), or try an hdmi-toslink converter. qutest have different soundstage shape, much faster decay, transients and overall detail. qutest sounds unnatural because it sounds mechanical, too transparent, too fast. Computers are very very noisy, you need alot of filtering to get rid of EMI and RFI. I bought 12 APC PM1W-GR and it was a night and day difference (didn't bought all of them at one time, I bought 2, then 5, then 5 and it always improves the sound. I will buy more. Also want to say that the toslink from the motherboard is trash, it's very soft/grainy and lacks detail, so don't use it, buy an hdmi-toslink converter. Maybe I will buy ehmann 0463x0000
