- This is the official music video for the song I wrote with Isaac Mitchell called "Neither Do I". This song has been therapeutic for me to write in many ways. It is based off of the passage in John 8 where Christ encounters an adulterous women, brought before a crowd of people to be stoned. I relate to the adulterous woman, I’ve felt her shame and wanted to hide. Constant feelings of not measuring up, feeling naked and ashamed before the Lord. But when the woman comes face to face with Christ- the only one truly worthy to stone her for her sins- He shows her unmeasurable mercy. He tells the crowd, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her”…. And of course, no one could. And Jesus, looks deep into her tear filled eyes and relinquishes all of her fear saying, “Neither do I condemn you”. Such powerful words coming from the only one with the authority to truly do so… and yet he doesn’t. So who is worthy to cast the first stone at you my friend? Is ANYONE other than Christ? And we see through Christ's perfect love and pursuit of us on the cross that He was willing to absorb ALL of the Father's wrath for our sin... leaving us completely free to leave our sin and come rest. Big thank you to Haddie who played cello, Luke who played guitar, Josh who sang with me, Isaac who played acoustic and electric, and Ryan who mixed and mastered the music! On Sunday I went to church i feel like I was condemned and thought I was condemned by people there was so much in my mind but I decided to just go when I was at church the pastor and his wife came to me they welcome me and was so loving I feel God’s love that welcoming me I was speechless I know Jesus will always welcome me now when I listen to this song it broke me into tears from the beginning till the end I feel God is talking to me through this song. Wonderful song. Taylor, your ability to write wise music for devotion is definitely a gift. There were tears during my first listen to this song, and peace during my second listen. I think you’ve highlighted who Jesus is with nuance, not just with lyrics but also the soft vocals and instrumentation. Jesus is so worthy, he has all authority, and he uses all of his power to kindly say to every person with love that the Lord does not condemn the world. Rather, He has saved it and allows us all to rest in Him. John 3:17.

Just had a complete breakdown….I have been sitting here freaking out and just have been so anxious lately (medicated) and I’m still struggling but God mentions to pull me aside and remind me of how much He loves me and the things He has done for me and will continue to do for my life…..I have been in what feels like a consistent season of waiting and so unhappy because of that but it is nothing compared to what God has in store for me 😢
