I am from Zimbabwe and have watched many videos on dairy farming across the world. I can say that by far, this was the most engaging, due to the eloquence and clarity of this manager. Very knowledgeable. The future is bright for this farmer
My 5 year projection is to own 3 dairy cows with good production. Bcz of resources, i had to start with an ingenous heifer, giving me 12 per day at her peak level. Am passionate in dairy farming
My best interview ever , i follow you in poultry but this is the Best and trust me as soon as you start your dairy farm please get this guy as your practical consultant, am Luyimbula sulait from Entebbe Uganda and i wish to start dairy farming in June am just waiting for the rain season this end of February then i start planting my Napier grass otherwise thanks for showcasing this video
I have watched so many videos on dairy farming and most specifically from Aim Agric. This farm interview has been the very best so far; rearing the best cows using the very simple methods and practices, keeping clear records and a really passionate and hands on manager.
its always a good thing to be interviewed in a show, but when the host sits back and lets you do your thing that's when you know how extremely good you are at what you do .very eloquent...
Let me add to the comments section. Rerimoi is so passionate and knowledgeable about dairy farming. The level of detail that he has applied to this dairy farm is simply impressive. I have really enjoyed listening to him and I wish him all the best going forward.
Very impressive interview. The young farmer knows his stuff. First time to hear a farmer from that part of the world who has good grasp of feed quality, feed efficiency and Dry Matter concept. I am a large scale dairy farmer dairy farmer based in New Zealand (500 plus milking cows) and believe we can have a lot to share if I can have Reri's contacts.
This is the most amazing video I've ever seen on UA-cam, thanks AIM Agriculture for bringing this wonderful Manager Rerimoi to our classroom of life... I will visit this man's farm as soon as I get back to Jamhuri ya Kenya.. How can I book a farm visit?... Truly awesome
your Guest is very knowledgeable and articulate in dairy farming are there institutions in kenya that train on daily farming? am passionate and eager to venture into dairy farming but i have very little knowledge on the sort
Wow!!! This is so inspirational, imagine on one hectare and a half, where I have goat's, I though I couldn't have cows ...😂😂😂😂 .. am really challenged guys..... thx so much
Serious farmer, kagrc bulls are designed for Kenya but it's not utilized by most Kenyans, upcoming dairy farmers in neighbouring countries have good cows because mostly they utilize imported semen from kagrc.
There is this wonderful super nappier grass that have potential to yield 180-200 tonnes per acre with a CP of 18%. In figurative terms its able to feed approximately 20 dairy cows or 200 dairy goats or 200 dorpers per acre per year. One acre of supper nappier is equivalen to 15 acres of maize sileage in terms of tonnage per year. This is a variety that we would like to encourage especially dairy farmers with small acreage of land to consider.
I have around one acre of land but i want to use it to keep around 10 to 15 cows by now i have around 5 cows will I manage it or kuna advice will I aquire from you
You should capture more B roll video when they speech u must play speach related B roll video. Pls show how to they make water system, how mix feed. How they clean farm. Thanks
It is okay but needs to be supplimented with other feeds. 3 acres can accommodate a maximum of 5 cows if you are producing feeds equivalent to the 3 acres.
