For long Kenyans have been saying that Ugandans re-export milk imported from elsewhere. I am thankful for AIM bringing the truth of the hidden wonders of the Pearl to our brothers and sisters across the border. Please let us embrace integration and harness on each other’s comparative advantages. I believe Uganda has way bigger comparative advantage in agriculture compared to all EAC countries. Kenya is better in finance, insurance, logistics, hospitality and big manufacturing. Let’s learn to live and let live.
I think Uganda is just too "gifted by nature", so we get too much for doing too little. Uganda has the capacity to feed the whole of east and southern Africa by doing more mechanization and commercialization of our agriculture.
What's being done there is tremendous. The installation of a milk processing plant is also awesome. Would other regions also be aided to develop further in what they grow or produce! I heard of an animal husbandry bill in the offing.
Thank you for the nice work. However, you said you are breeders of of the pure breed Holstein, and as I can see the different breeds are mixed, is also true for the males?
Nice job brother from Kenya but ask that famer what's really required nd how much money does it needs to start it nd another how big the land should be.
Uganda government is always crying about lack of market for milk and milk products like yoghurt. However, the local market is HUGE!! Just funding primary schools and secondary schools feeding programs would exponentially increase the local market for all our milk products.
@@katiitimark2363 I'm glad to hear the matter came before parliament. We need very innovative economists to advise government on how to "tweak the economy" creatively. The best market will always be the domestic market (a universal economics principle). Unfortunately, the orientation here is too much focused on the foreign markets.
@@gerrytushhyou get, our government doesn't know that domestic market principal, it stretches even to other sectors like tourism etc, but citizens never get favourable policies to educate and attract them to their own ventures
That's good Idea but bad governance fails such programs. If taxes are collected and money is not embezzled that's the money used to fund such programs. That's how schools are funded in the United States.
