But for $6 price ($2.75 SMKW cost, $1.50 wholesale, $1 cost to mfgr) ... be thankful the saw and corkscrew work. You got your money's worth for $6. One cannot buy a corkscrew with plastic handle for $6 anymore.

The original GAK has not been made since 2003 ! These crap models made over seas are not even worth even considering? Find an old surplus model by Victorinox or Adler or MFH or CCF , and again, stay away from Mil-tek as these are junk too!

@@jspr_edc Ah, ok. Then it is not an original German Army knive. These type of knive is already out of service. It has been replaced by the SAK modell Soldierknive 08, but the scales beeing all olive not rubberrised and showing the german eagle like the older model.

It is Chinese made. That says it all… I picked one up last summer when I was at SMKW . $ 2 clearance …you get what you pay for… the one I have gives me no problems…I don’t use it

Hello, the knife is a copy from China. The real German army knife did not have an eagle on the blade. The real ones from the various manufacturers who made them for the German "Bundeswehr" are great! Many greetings from a German veteran who served with it for 4 years.
