My dad was recently diagnosed with the same condition as Ashley, and I have been re-watching some of these to try to prepare myself for what our family will be facing in the near future. Well of course she didn’t want him to call the police on her, she didn’t know how to deal with Ashley’s situation, which must’ve been heartbreaking as a young girl, hence why she was really focusing on the party, not excusing her actions obviously but it’s overall really sad in general
