Struisbaai Floods - Water Everywhere! | Storm Chasing

The first heavy winter rains have arrived and marks were left behind. Between the 5th and 7th of May 2021, Struisbaai and the surrounding areas received torrential rainfall.
Towns were flooded, rivers overflowing, roads washed away and many left devastated by the amount of water that made landfall. Jarod and I decided to head through to Struisbaai on Saturday the 8th of May 2021 to see what damage was left behind and if there were any ways we could help.
The farmlands surrounding Struisbaai had tons and tons of water laying and still flowing. Lots of roads where still rivers and farmlands turned into swamps. Struisbaai and the other towns we passed through were in better shape. It seemed most of the water already subsided, but the watermarks, sandbanks, and road damage were still visible.
We hope everyone and all the towns recover from this natural disaster.

I assume you didn't go past Hermanus? There were some massive rivers going into the ocean all over the coast.
