New subbie and I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. Besides your son being absolutely adorable, I now have about 30+ hairstyles to do on my son's hair. My baby boy is a few days shy of 10 months and has extremely tight curls but with the right products his curls will loosen up so I'll be able to achieve several of these hairstyles. P.s thanks for giving me something to binge watch 💛🤗😊
Welcome! Thank you for being a subbie 🙏🏽💙 aww 10 months that’s around the time I started wanting to try things with Kham’s hair too! Since he’s small, not too much manipulation around the hairline, soft brushes, and you’ll be good… and I honestly think that starting Kham early is the reason why he’s so used to sitting still and letting me do his hair now that he’s older, so hopefully that’s the same way for you and your little one 🤞🏽
Thank you! I taught myself when I was young. I just saw what my Mom was doing and practised until I was decent enough lol still not the greatest but it will do.
I recently bought him a kids sized bonnet from the beauty supple store and I put it on him every night. Before that though he wouldn’t let me put anything on his head to sleep with so it was just the products and a prayer keeping the style lasting long lol
keepingupwithkham 😂😂😂 don’t I know it lol boys be acting so funny. I had to get mine a whole cap that keeps water from out his face so he’d let me wash his hair and it’s still a battle
Love the hair look.. my son also have curly hair but its a little bite longer... and i have no clue how to take care or what to do with it. I dont have curly hair at all.. so he gets it from his dad...
Do you ever worry about the durag ties getting around his neck or am I being a paranoid parent? Lol the current cap I use for my son’s braids always slides off but I’m terrified that the straps will choke him!
You're not being paranoid you're being a great parent! I def think about that too myself but when he was this age I only was comfortable enough to put it on him at this age because I knew his sleeping habits and I knew how he would react to the durag/if he would play around with it or try and take it off. So just trust your instincts when it comes to if you think your little one if ready yet. Are you also using a silk/satin pillowcase? You could try having that as well as the cap your currently using so that if/when it slides off you have the second protection with the pillowcase!
Ashley Claytor thank you! He was 14 months old in this video. I think I’m just lucky that he’ll sit in the high chair with a snack and something to watch and let me do his hair 😂 hopefully he stays this way 🤞🏽How old is your son? I know it may sound weird but try around dinner or snack time, when he’s occupied with some food? Maybe he’ll give you a break lol
@@k.v.6885 thnx for asking. It actually has gotten better. But I honestly hate braiding and my patience is not the best. I think I wanna find my son a braider.
@@ashleyfrieson6 that’s good. lol I low key hate it and my flat feet do too lol. Are there other styles that you don’t mind doing? Like two strand twists or plaits? For me since I “ enjoy” hair day so much…I alternate between styles like corn rows, plaits or box braiding, two strand twists with plaits at the roots (5 rotations) and flat twists on my son.
Amazing hair style and I love how he sat still the whole time.
Cassandra J thank you 🙏🏽 honestly it takes a lot of Elmo.. and sometimes, snacks lol
He’s so handsome and the braids doesn’t make him look girly 😍 bless you and your family 🙏🏽
Thank you! 🙏🏽

That looks good. If you don’t mind me asking how did you learn to braid?

I really love this style but I do not know how to cornrow. Will you show step by step? I just do two strand twists
Yes, I’ll absolutely do a step by step!
Love his hair 😍
Thank you 💙
How do you dot hat without him feeling any pain??
I just go really gently and use products that are better for kids hair!
@@keepingupwithkham ok I’m going to try on my grandson !
@@altheawalk yay! Ok good luck, let us know how it turned out 💙
Do you use anything like a cap etc to keep it nice?

How long does your hair have to be to get that?
@@Craft-oj2ey not too long, just need to have enough hair to grip for the braids!
