When a great song like this is covered in this totally unparalleled awesome way it not only gives credence to the writer and group who originally performed it, even more-so it gives the group covering it RESPECT it deserves. That equates to what is commonly known as a WIN-WIN for all in sundry.
One of the best covers of this classic Spencer Davis Group original I have ever had the privilege to view and hear. The lead singer has got the goods. Thank you for uploading it is greatly appreicated.
I love this band. I've seen them more times than I can remember over the years, from the little Astoria Theatre to outdoors on Clapham Common. I genuinely believe that some of their original songs will stand the test of time alongside other big groups. Marvellous.
I am picky about my favourite hard rock singers... Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Bruce Dickinson, James Hetfield, Bon Scott... and Danny Bowes is definitely one of them, without question. And the great thing is, he's no different live to on the recordings, and he's not lost his pipes, even in his mid-fifties, like some of my other favourites did. Danny is brilliant, and I'd watch a Thunder gig any time, if they do another one.
I was on that tour, though not one this night. Does anyone happen to remember the support band? I can remember thinking 'These guys are pretty good', then never hearing them again :/
