Teddy, thanks for the tip about not spraying your chest to avoid going anosmic to the fragrance you're wearing. I have always sprayed my chest and middle neck and always go nose blind. Tried this today and, wow! What a difference. I've been catching a bit of my fragrance once in a while since this morning (Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree, highly recommended btw!). So nice. I'm a convert!
Either you like the guy or you don't. Used to watch his videos back in the day. I unsubscribed simply because he is too over the top and spams his videos on YT...
Great video, love the educational tips. However, one critique would be to not spray on wrists. Reasons are: you wash your hands often throughout the day, you rest your hands on your legs/table when you're sitting, you brush off the fragrance as you embrace people, you brush it off as you reach into your pockets in your jeans/coat.
Counter to this is I sprayed Tom ford ombre leather parfum and it was still there in the evening after my gym session. No projection but it has great longevity. I think the oils absorb or something?
Note for people. Spraying on clothes is not some faux pas. Attars have been applied on clothes for decades, if not centuries. Just make sure you spray from a distance. Also this will help people with skin conditions such as eczema/ sensitive skin. Plus you have the benefit of a longer lasting scent :)
How do you get a Long last scent from clothes? Molecules in fragrance are heat activated..h nxe pulse point sprays...your clothes Don't conduct heat, get warmer.
pulse points help with the projection, but the heat from the pulse points evaporate the liquid quicker. clothes aren’t the best when it comes to projection, but they last a lot longer compared to skin
He could’ve explained this in 1/3rd the time. He’s just tryna get that monetization from making you sit through more video to get the answer to the video title
For stronger colognes like my Paco Rabanne Invictus, I can only do one spray. Any more than 1 gives me a headache all day. I'll do it on my chest but I'll consider the ditch area of my arms as I wears a lot of Tshirts mainly.
Genuine question, if you don't want to get anosmic, why would you spray it on the shoulder? Wouldn't that also make you nose blind because of the proximity to the nose?
Usually i buy all my favourite fragrances, dump them in a bath tub and bathe in them for about 2 minutes. Results - 50ft projection and lasts 50 hours But the downsides are my skin turns red and its expensive but id definitely say its worth it
I would spray way more than that. But then again, I overspray. I put some in my armpits, chest, arms, etc. i think i put on at least 16-20 sprays per application. But imma try your way today
I just open the cap and splash the whole bottle on my face. It burns a little on the eyes but then it drips down on the rest of your body so it kinda works.
I am an old school scent kinda guy who still wears Joop and love it, so much so, i pour a little into the water reservoir of my steam iron and my clothes smell amazing when pressed 👍🏻 i have not long bought a bottle of hatkora wood as recommended by a friend, gotta say it’s a delicious scent, smells amazing 👌🏻
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 🌟 When applying fragrance, consider spraying it on your skin after showering and before putting on your clothes to avoid spraying on your clothes. 01:11 💨 Spray fragrance about 5 to 6 inches away from your skin for even distribution and avoid being too close or too far. 01:52 💦 Double spray specific pulse points for more selective application, like wrists. 02:06 🧴 Applying unscented moisturizer before or after spraying fragrance can impact projection and longevity; experiment to find what works best. 03:18 🌬️ Consider using ambroxin and isoe super for enhancing fragrance projection. 04:00 🚫 Avoid spraying fragrance on the top of the chest and the front of the neck, as it can lead to irritation and overexposure. 05:35 🌓 Depending on the fragrance's strength and the situation, spray 3 to 5 times on pulse points like wrists, lower back of the neck, and collarbone. 06:46 🧥 Fragrance can be sprayed on denser fabrics like scarves, knitwear, and denim, but avoid spraying on formal or delicate clothing. 08:12 👃 If you want to enjoy the fragrance personally without drawing attention, consider spraying on the back of your hand. Made with HARPA AI
The wrists are a terrible place to apply fragrance especially if you wash your hands periodically. Better place is the inner forearm. If you want to really make your fragrances last longer, you can skip the regular moisturizer for either a thin layer of coconut oil or petroleum jelly (unscented and emphasis on thin layer) where there is no added fragrance in order to help the longevity. Best areas are the nape of the neck, the lower sides of the neck just where it meets your collar bones inside the little "pockets" and if you're not too sensitive to smells, center of the chest with the atomizer typically held far enough to get an 8 - 12" spread / spritz.
Wrists are the worst place you'll apply your fragrance in. I do 5 sprays, 2 in each ear, 2 on the side of the neck, 1 behind the neck. I don't go in front of the neck because my skin gets easily irritated. The sides of the neck are the best place really, since you could also smell if the fragrance is still pumping out. Also, I apply petroleum jelly in places where I spray. I get beast mode longevity when doing that. 4-6 hour frags become 8 hours
Does moisturizer help with longevity or projection? Since I have oily skin and usually use dense EDP or Parfums with strong base notes, they don’t really project off my skin as well. What can I do to increase projection with oily skin?
@@RobertLaTuso I've only tried petroleum jelly, and I've heard people about putting moisturizer over their perfumes to increase longevity. Seems counterintuitive though but, I don't really know how to say about it. Also considering also your skin isn't really the best for the fragrance. I think the best advice I could give you is apply immediately after taking your shower so that your frag would mix with your natural body oils and not get applied on top of it
@@exxie1 From what I understand, most people with dry skin apply moisturizer to replenish adequate oils in their skin. People with oily skin, already have sufficient natural oils within their skin, and adding more from moisturizers, etc, will only weigh the fragrance down and reduce projection. Today, I applied lotion on my pulse points, waited 1 hour then sprayed a beast mode fragrance such as “Ombré Nomade” on top. Projection from Ombré Nomade was greatly reduced except for the Nape of the the neck area where I did not apply moisturizer. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated?!
My skin is sensitive so I always spray on clothea, it also helps with the longetivity. Clothes are disposable but your skin is more important so take care of the skin 💁🏻♂️ Also I spray perfume, pleasant smells for me to smell and feel good. I do not spray to impress, too unbothered to care lol 😂
I have found that with Tom Ford ( Noir De Noir, Ombré Leather, Oud Minérale ) two sprays is more than enough. Behind the ears. Otherwise i spray once at rhe back of my neck too.
Been watching Teddy's amazing watch content for a while, but this is my very first fragrance video view. I have three words.... ROLLERBALL ROLLERBALL ROLLERBALL. Regardless of where you apply your fragrance you're losing valuable juice in the air. The farther out you spray the more you'll lose. I hesitate to estimate the percentage you'll save, but it's considerable. Probably not a major deal if your fragrance is relatively inexpensive, but it you're spending a few hundred $ on a bottle you want to get the very most you can out of it. Cheers!
Funny, my upper chest is the main place I spray, maybe along with a little on my undershirt, but that's because I wear fragrance mostly for myself, so I want to be able to smell it throughout the day. I don't do my neck or generally my arms; sometimes I'll do my inner elbows, but it just drinks it up and the scent doesn't last long there.
Exactly, who gives a fuck what other people think! I buy scents for me and no one else. If I can't smell it, what's the point? People worry too much about what other people think. Think about it rationally; why should anyone think less of you for smelling your wrist rather than the back of your hand? Beside, it is going to wash straight off after your first visit to the toilet, so why bother? Just do it on the wrist and be careful when you rinse!
When applying fragrances at a distance of 4-6 inches (every atomizer seems to be different) should you move the atomizer across the skin in a sweeping motion or keep the atomizer stationary, when spraying on your desired pulse point/location? I noticed that when I went to a perfume store recently the associate who applied the Fragrance, sprayed on my skin in a sweeping motion?!
Good video. Any recommendations on unisex or male cookie or other gourmet/gourmand fragrances? I’d definitely like something such as a pumpkin spice or gingerbread cookie scent.
What watch are you wearing on this video? I’ve been trying to figure it out for the past 5 minutes… your other channel has ruined me, I’m constantly looking at people’s wrists to see what they have on
What do you recommend for those of us that wear a lot of Nato straps or anything that isn't a bracelet? I'm concerned about them holding a smell, mixing smells, and not needing to constantly wash my straps. I've heard that fabrics/cloths/etc. will hold scents much longer. Also would hate for that to transfer to my watch boxes.
You know what great video by the way . Not sure what you think for someone that drinks 🍺 I think your body odor gives a different scent when spraying a cologne. Some colognes fit better for a non drinking person especially in a bar or clubbing environment. What do you think 🤔

For me 2 sprays each side of my neck 2 on the back of the neck the end, I don't spray my wrists because it irritates the skin i don't spray back of the hands for the same reason plus its wasted when i wash my hands
One of the problems is overcoming scent in shower soaps gels. Please can we have neutral soaps !!! So when I apply my scents they dont get blasted by the after scents.
Used to apply mine in my neck but then the alcohol made my skin kinda ugly so I stopped using fragrances so my skin can heal properly and back to normal as it was rashy and kinda dry.
Typically I use 3-5 sprays. I always do 2-3 on the chest. After I do this, I put on my shirt so a little gets on the shirt but not enough to stain. In winter I'll also do one spray on the inner arms between the bicep and forearm. If I'm trying out something new, I'll also spray the top of the wrist so I can occasionally smell it as I go about my day.
Ah the roja dove video! I’ve sprayed on the back of my neck for the longest time but recently I’ve noticed a strong burning sensation so I switched to just the clavicles and shoulders
I usually spray my skin a few times 3-5, then as I get ready it dries. Then after my shirt is on. 2-3blasts on my chest under the shirt, 1 on my back under shirt, then 1 on each shoulder and back of neck. Keep in mind this is for lighter summer scents and edt's NOT things like DIOR SAUVAGE, lol. I work outside sometimes and in the heat so I don't fear gassing people out, office would be different. Hope those helps.
I've heard most people do a few sprays on the neck, so I was surprised to hear that you don't do that. I'll definitely have to try some of your methods, great video !
Light fragrances and EDT's I do 7 sprays. Dense fragrances or EDP's I do 5 sprays. Usually with Parfums I only need 4 sprays. Back of neck, sides of neck, inner elbows, shirt at the shoulder.
Why on Earth would you waste the fragrance by spraying on your wrists?! You go out the house and get in the car: the projection is towards you - a strong fragrance would make you uncomfortable; on the bus: you hold onto a vertical bar - again, the projection is toward you; if you sit, you rest your wrist on the pants and mix the notes. You get to the office and use a computer: the wrists are touching the desk/pad/keyboard filling them with oils and messing up the notes of the fragrance; maybe you write (with the pen) in a notebook - the same thing; you wash your hands a few times, you get water on the wrists (every single time; if you don't, I bet your hands are pretty much still dirty) and wash out the fragrance. You get some lunch - again, projection is towards you and you "eat" the smell. When you caress your partner/s you shove the fragrance in her/his nose instead of creating a smell "bubble" with you 2 (3, 4, ...) in the middle. You should spray the fragrance on the exterior/dorsal wrist and pretty much every problem I have mentioned gets fixed.
Yea same happens to me, smells strong for like an hour or two and then it's completely gone after bc I either washed my hands or something was rubbing on my wrists
What is this t-shirt time that the naughty Greek girl is talking about? What happens at t-shirt time? My 30 year old son sprays it in the air and pirouettes around like a ballet dancer. Is that how you do it or is that why I’m getting invitations to gay after 60 Facebook pages ever since he came to visit? He’s married but you never know.
Evaporation. that's one of the most ridiculous things to consider, along with 'friction'. The body moves and perspires. and perfumes are not a new thing. If one wants a perfume that 'doesn't evaporate', get perfume wax.
Sissysprayer, if you only apply 1-5 sprays the only one who's gonna know that you're wearing perfume it's you! Ain't gonna pay 100+ for a fragrance that only it's gonna be noticed by me 😂
While I'm with you on this one, where and how to apply fragrance is still subjective based on individual body chemistry, etc. Valid points nonetheless.
I usually spray about 50-60 sprays when I hop out of the shower. Then a bit after another 20 when I am about to leave.

Why even bother with spraying. Just dunk yourself in it.

My 30 year old son sprays it in the air and pirouettes around like a ballet dancer. Is that how you do it or is that why I’m getting invitations to gay after 60 Facebook pages ever since he came to visit? He’s married but you never know.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Evaporation. that's one of the most ridiculous things to consider, along with 'friction'. The body moves and perspires. and perfumes are not a new thing. If one wants a perfume that 'doesn't evaporate', get perfume wax.
Waste of time
Sissysprayer, if you only apply 1-5 sprays the only one who's gonna know that you're wearing perfume it's you! Ain't gonna pay 100+ for a fragrance that only it's gonna be noticed by me 😂
I also do that on the back of my hand when I use a fragrance I really can’t stop smelling lol subtle way to be a weirdo
Same but then I always end up washing it off next time I have to use the restroom
This is nonsense
Women spray their wrists dude, not men 😭🤣🤣
Man it was so boring,,,
first for sure :P
No sprays on front of neck? Hmmmmm. I mean I do want to avoid Turkey neck when I get older but…….hmmmm…..
Just keep it clean & moisturized. You'll be good.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

While I'm with you on this one, where and how to apply fragrance is still subjective based on individual body chemistry, etc. Valid points nonetheless.
