I find the information in this video very useful and accurate with what I was taught in my Christian theological school. There is so much the general public do not know about the bible and the biblical scholars are more in tune with the realities of the scripture and this is why I find this video interesting and educational frankly.. I will research more and I always believed in one God and im getting more and more sure now that islam is the truth and the prophet Muhammad(saw) is the last prophet of God and that the Quran is the last and final pure revalation from GOD Almighty. I can't explain how happy I feel. :-)

Wow I'm a Christian my fiancé is Muslim and of course he would love for me to convert but he wants me to research on my own and not for the religion to be forced upon me ,but I do have an open mind I have been on comments defending what I know about the Bible however I do respect The Quran And will keep reading the Quran and the Bible I would like to keep learning abt both religions and take it from there . Aweee yes there are bad critics from people from every race/culture/religion/beliefs . I love Muslims and everyone no matter what. My family are Christians and they don't discriminate at all . I love my fiancé family my mother and father in law are the best. We just also have to keep in mind there are different denominations in Christianity not all Christians are the same just like Muslims have different tribes from different countries and have Sunni, Shia etc.. I too studies the major religions of the world for more that twenty years using unbiased and scholarly sources for my research. I found Islam to be the least significant in making a contribution to humanitys understanding of itself. On the contrary, this so called 'revealed' religion is one of the most morally corrupt and spiritually bankrupt on the planet, founded by a questionable man and spread using violence and hypocracy. Whatever merits Islam had - and there are some in the works of Rumi - have disappeared under a blanket of violence, misogny and a perverse and rather odd fixation on the "Jews" as a source of humanity's ills.

I agree with him. I always had a close relationship to God, and this aided this spiritually when I converted because, Islam puts God front and center in your life and not your life before God. For example, when I as a protestant attempted to get out of my driveway the same time Catholic church let out across the street, with over a hundred parishioners, guess how many let me make the left turn out of my driveway? actually I agree when he said "there are alot of atypical christians out there"!!!! Moreover, that's exactly the reason why many of them go further and switch to non believing!!!!! after a very long time of racking their brains without unfortunately any satisfying answers to their minds!!!! I have watched half of this program so far. I am a born again Christian. I am enjoying it! The former pastor's journey to Islam is quite interesting and the muslim host is friendly and fair minded. I like this theDeen show. I watched the whole thing and I enjoyed it. It made me think. My only dislike - ear piercing call to Islamic prayer. Terrible. It would have been better to have some theme music.
James, as a Muslim I feel the same way because a lot of Muslims who give the call to prayer cannot give it in a beautiful way thats pleasing to the ears. There are blessed people in the world that can, there is the call to prayer in Dubai which will you'll like.
yasmin sugar Sister I hear it everyday you bound to understand it eventually. My point was how some Muslim men are unable to give the call beautifully. I, myself was ridiculed one time for giving it and never did do it again because I guess some people just aren't meant to. Also if you know arabic, good for you, you are very fortunate. I wouldn't go around saying that to every muslim because they all wish they knew what the Qur'an meant just by looking at it in arabic.
I John 5:7 is also the subject of much debate. It is argued that the verse lacks manuscript evidence and does not belong in the Bible. Being one of the greatest verses in the Bible on the Trinity, we should be suspicious of any oppositions to it. The verse should NOT be omitted from the Bible. It is found in Greek manuscript 61, which probably forced Erasmus to include it in his third edition Greek text of 1522. I John 5:7 is also found in Codex Ravianus, and in the margins of 88 and 629. It is also found in Old Latin manuscripts r and Speculum. It was quoted by Cyprian around A.D. 250, and two Spanish Bishops quoted it in the fourth century (Priscillkian and Idacius Clarus). Several African writers quote it in the fifth century, and Cassiodorus quotes it in the sixth century in Italy. The fact that Siniaticus and Vaticanus do not include the verse means nothing to a true Bible believer. After all, Vaticanus omits the entire book of Revelation, while keeping the Apocrypha!

On a personal level, I was curious to find out why Christians converted to Islam and vice versa. So I started surfing the net. I looked at several Christians that converted to Islam and several Muslims that converted to Christianity. While I am not a Christian or a Muslim nor do I belong to any other Religious Group I was quite interested to find out why people switched religions. Well, having completed a little research on the subject I found both Christians and Muslims switched religions basically for the same reason. They all tended to sight some sort of spiritual intervention as the prime reason for the change. In conclusion, I did feel that I got some subjective clarification. But I was sadly disappointed when no one able to offer a sound logical reason for their change. Like for instance, If they said: "I became a Christian or Muslim because the religion had the proof that their religion was God's chosen religion now that could have been a real eye opener but of course they would have provided the proof. In all honesty, the little research I did, pretty much mimicked what I had already anticipated. When I happened across this video of Dr. Jerald Dirks converting to Isalm. I wondered if Dr. Dirks reason for converting to another religion might different than any of the others I had researched but he, like all the others sighted spiritual intervention.So my conclusion is whether you are a Christian who has converted to Islam or Muslim who has converted to Christianity the main reason for the change always seems to be spiritual intervention. But if you think about this it that makes no sense whatsoever.
1. I am not religious. But I would like to know why I exist in this world. I want God Himself to tell me that, not any human being. And God tells me that in the Holy Quran. 2. Of all the religions, which is the one that God will approve. I want God to tell me that, not another human being like me. And God tells me that too in the holy Quran. Hi Cak Kelepik, I was merely pointing out the implication of Christians converting to Islam and Muslims converting to Christianity and both sighting spririt intervention. In simple they are both saying God was the one that guided them to change reilgions. To put it another way some people believe God wanted them to change their faith and become Muslims while others believe God wanted them to change their faith and become Christians. I mean would God want some people to change to Islam and some people to change to Christianity. Again my point is, this would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. I do accept this althought in reality it makes no sense that God would sometimes intervene causing a Christian to convert to Islam and vice versa. From a religious point of view, I accept the fact that, all Religions believe their Religion is the one true Religion. The Christians, The Muslims, The Jewish, The Buddhist, The Mormons and numerous other religions, normally sight a book, some ancient writings or gold tablets, from their own point of view, as being proof their Religion is the one True Religion. And this is where I have a problem. I don't believe all religions can considered the True Religion. There are Muslims who converted to Christianity. There are also Christians who converted to Islam. My advice for everyone is to do your own research and choose according to what God is telling you. Relying on the gestures of others is not doing any justice to your self-image and how people see you. Quit lying to yourself through ignorance!

Reason they do that because the "TRINITY" Doctrine &" Begotten Son of God" is a hoax interpolated by an 'ambiguous 'Johnny'. Besides that, I did my own research and found that I John 5:7, also known as, the Comma Johanneum, is found in only eight late Greek manuscripts, four of which have the words in a marginal note. These marginal glosses were added after the original copy was made. Most of these manuscripts originate from the sixteenth century and the earliest manuscript, includes the reading in a marginal note which was added sometime after the original composition. There is no sure evidence the Comma Johanneum existed in any Greek manuscript until the early sixteenth century or perhaps the fifteenth century at best. Trinitarian scholars now admit this verse was not written by the hand of John. However, there are still Trinitarians, especially KJV Onlyists, who are still stubborn & unwilling to accept the facts on this matter and claim this verse is authentic. I'm sad to say that the common Christian folks are not aware of this. The bible of today is no longer the original & total revelations from God Almighty but a mixture of words of God, prophets, ambiguous scribes, historians and church fathers.

Another analogy would be the lover, the beloved and the love...there are not three loves, but only ONE. One God who manifests himself in three different ways. Even you, as a Muslim, believe that you have a body which will die, and a soul which will live on...yet there is only one you (not two). And, if you can imagine the good works that you do in this world as something which will outlast you...then you can understand at least the concept of the Holy ghost. But, there is still only one you...not three. Refers to the trune nature of God and so the answer given must refer to the triune nature of God. God made man in his image...you have a physical presence and a soul and a certain spirit.. God is one. There is only one God. It's that simple. It is so simple that children can understand. When the mouth chews the slices they become orange juice to get into the person who is eating them. God maybe considered as a big orange & Christ maybe considered as the orange slices. The juice is the Spirit. The orange juice is the extract of the orange & the extract of the orange is Spirit of the orange. In like manner, the spirit of God is the extract of God. When we have the Father, it is like having a big orange. When we believe in the Son, this is like having many orange slices which are still outside of us. This is the experience of the Spirit which all of us must have. since you believed in the Father & deny Jesus Deity can you eat the whole oranges?
I would like to stop your analogy in reducing my LORD & my Prophet Jesus (PBUH) to an orange. We believe GOD is one & there is no requirement for any analogy to describe HIM apart from the verses in the Quran which HE used to describe HIMSELF. I would like to ask you one question - do you believe that Jesus (PBUH) is a 'son of GOD' in the same way Prophet Adam (PBUH) is a 'son of GOD', that we are all 'sons of GOD'? or do you believe that he - Jesus (PBUH) is a begotten son? There is so much the general public do not know about the bible and the biblical scholars are more in tune with the realities of the scripture and this is why I find this video interesting and educational frankly..
I will research more and I always believed in one God and im getting more and more sure now that islam is the truth and the prophet Muhammad(saw) is the last prophet of God and that the Quran is the last and final pure revalation from GOD Almighty.

Wow I'm a Christian my fiancé is Muslim and of course he would love for me to convert but he wants me to research on my own and not for the religion to be forced upon me ,but I do have an open mind I have been on comments defending what I know about the Bible however I do respect The Quran And will keep reading the Quran and the Bible I would like to keep learning abt both religions and take it from there . Use the bible to see the true religion. Ask probing questions, collect as much informations available, keeps an open & unbiased mind & carefully scrutinised assumptions & seek the truth all the way to ONE GOD only not human God or three in one which does not make sense at all.
Aweee yes there are bad critics from people from every race/culture/religion/beliefs . I love Muslims and everyone no matter what. My family are Christians and they don't discriminate at all . I love my fiancé family my mother and father in law are the best. We just also have to keep in mind there are different denominations in Christianity not all Christians are the same just like Muslims have different tribes from different countries and have Sunni, Shia etc.. The Torah and the Gospels are THIRD PERSON CHRONICLES of how flawed humans are and the horrific things humans do to each other, which God being the ideals of becoming more intelligent and compassionate humans -- which is the complete opposite of the Quran, wherein Mohammed claims God wrote FIRST HAND - FIRST PERSON ETERNAL COMMANDS. I too studies the major religions of the world for more that twenty years using unbiased and scholarly sources for my research. I found Islam to be the least significant in making a contribution to humanitys understanding of itself. On the contrary, this so called 'revealed' religion is one of the most morally corrupt and spiritually bankrupt on the planet, founded by a questionable man and spread using violence and hypocracy. Whatever merits Islam had - and there are some in the works of Rumi - have disappeared under a blanket of violence, misogny and a perverse and rather odd fixation on the "Jews" as a source of humanity's ills.

This is amazing, i just realised that all the negative media about islam after 9/11 helped islam reach further than ever before, alot of people around the world didnt realy know about islam and after the attack and all the publicity it somehow got people curious about islam so there is an explosion of people from all over joining islam and am happy for them that they embraced it and hopefully all of mankind.

I agree with him. I always had a close relationship to God, and this aided this spiritually when I converted because, Islam puts God front and center in your life and not your life before God. For example, when I as a protestant attempted to get out of my driveway the same time Catholic church let out across the street, with over a hundred parishioners, guess how many let me make the left turn out of my driveway? Mind you they had just heard the homily of the priest. How many? Not one. In Islam you live the faith. God tells you to do good deeds in the Koran. You don't need anyone else to tell you this.

I have watched half of this program so far. I am a born again Christian. I am enjoying it! The former pastor's journey to Islam is quite interesting and the muslim host is friendly and fair minded. I like this theDeen show.
I watched the whole thing and I enjoyed it. It made me think. My only dislike - ear piercing call to Islamic prayer. Terrible. It would have been better to have some theme music.

Sister I hear it everyday you bound to understand it eventually. My point was how some Muslim men are unable to give the call beautifully. I, myself was ridiculed one time for giving it and never did do it again because I guess some people just aren't meant to.
Also if you know arabic, good for you, you are very fortunate. I wouldn't go around saying that to every muslim because they all wish they knew what the Qur'an meant just by looking at it in arabic.

I John 5:7 is also the subject of much debate. It is argued that the verse lacks manuscript evidence and does not belong in the Bible. Being one of the greatest verses in the Bible on the Trinity, we should be suspicious of any oppositions to it.
The verse should NOT be omitted from the Bible. It is found in Greek manuscript 61, which probably forced Erasmus to include it in his third edition Greek text of 1522.
I John 5:7 is also found in Codex Ravianus, and in the margins of 88 and 629. It is also found in Old Latin manuscripts r and Speculum. It was quoted by Cyprian around A.D. 250, and two Spanish Bishops quoted it in the fourth century (Priscillkian and Idacius Clarus). Several African writers quote it in the fifth century, and Cassiodorus quotes it in the sixth century in Italy.
The fact that Siniaticus and Vaticanus do not include the verse means nothing to a true Bible believer. After all, Vaticanus omits the entire book of Revelation, while keeping the Apocrypha!

On a personal level, I was curious to find out why Christians converted to Islam and vice versa. So I started surfing the net. I looked at several Christians that converted to Islam and several Muslims that converted to Christianity. While I am not a Christian or a Muslim nor do I belong to any other Religious Group I was quite interested to find out why people switched religions. Well, having completed a little research on the subject I found both Christians and Muslims switched religions basically for the same reason. They all tended to sight some sort of spiritual intervention as the prime reason for the change. In conclusion, I did feel that I got some subjective clarification. But I was sadly disappointed when no one able to offer a sound logical reason for their change. Like for instance, If they said: "I became a Christian or Muslim because the religion had the proof that their religion was God's chosen religion now that could have been a real eye opener but of course they would have provided the proof. In all honesty, the little research I did, pretty much mimicked what I had already anticipated.
When I happened across this video of Dr. Jerald Dirks converting to Isalm. I wondered if Dr. Dirks reason for converting to another religion might different than any of the others I had researched but he, like all the others sighted spiritual intervention.So my conclusion is whether you are a Christian who has converted to Islam or Muslim who has converted to Christianity the main reason for the change always seems to be spiritual intervention. But if you think about this it that makes no sense whatsoever.
1. I am not religious. But I would like to know why I exist in this world. I want God Himself to tell me that, not any human being. And God tells me that in the Holy Quran.
2. Of all the religions, which is the one that God will approve. I want God to tell me that, not another human being like me. And God tells me that too in the holy Quran.

I was merely pointing out the implication of Christians converting to Islam and Muslims converting to Christianity and both sighting spririt intervention. In simple they are both saying God was the one that guided them to change reilgions. To put it another way some people believe God wanted them to change their faith and become Muslims while others believe God wanted them to change their faith and become Christians.
I mean would God want some people to change to Islam and some people to change to Christianity.
Again my point is, this would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Especially if each religion believes theirs is the one true religion that is supported by God.

Regarding Christians converted to Islam and vice versa and almost all sight spiritual intervention. I do accept this althought in reality it makes no sense that God would sometimes intervene causing a Christian to convert to Islam and vice versa.
From a religious point of view, I accept the fact that, all Religions believe their Religion is the one true Religion. The Christians, The Muslims, The Jewish, The Buddhist, The Mormons and numerous other religions, normally sight a book, some ancient writings or gold tablets, from their own point of view, as being proof their Religion is the one True Religion. And this is where I have a problem. I don't believe all religions can considered the True Religion. And while there is know one religion that can establish proof I will stick with my Religion which I think is the best Religion thus far.

There are Muslims who converted to Christianity. There are also Christians who converted to Islam. My advice for everyone is to do your own research and choose according to what God is telling you. Besides that, I did my own research and found that I John 5:7, also known as, the Comma Johanneum, is found in only eight late Greek manuscripts, four of which have the words in a marginal note. These marginal glosses were added after the original copy was made. Most of these manuscripts originate from the sixteenth century and the earliest manuscript, includes the reading in a marginal note which was added sometime after the original composition. There is no sure evidence the Comma Johanneum existed in any Greek manuscript until the early sixteenth century or perhaps the fifteenth century at best. Trinitarian scholars now admit this verse was not written by the hand of John. However, there are still Trinitarians, especially KJV Onlyists, who are still stubborn & unwilling to accept the facts on this matter and claim this verse is authentic.
I'm sad to say that the common Christian folks are not aware of this. The bible of today is no longer the original & total revelations from God Almighty but a mixture of words of God, prophets, ambiguous scribes, historians and church fathers.

This does not mean that there are three "times," but only ONE. Another analogy would be the lover, the beloved and the love...there are not three loves, but only ONE.
One God who manifests himself in three different ways. Even you, as a Muslim, believe that you have a body which will die, and a soul which will live on...yet there is only one you (not two). And, if you can imagine the good works that you do in this world as something which will outlast you...then you can understand at least the concept of the Holy ghost. The juice is the Spirit. The orange juice is the extract of the orange & the extract of the orange is Spirit of the orange. In like manner, the spirit of God is the extract of God. When we have the Father, it is like having a big orange. When we believe in the Son, this is like having many orange slices which are still outside of us. When we receive these slices into us as juice, we get the enjoyment. This is the experience of the Spirit which all of us must have.

I would like to stop your analogy in reducing my LORD & my Prophet Jesus (PBUH) to an orange. We believe GOD is one & there is no requirement for any analogy to describe HIM apart from the verses in the Quran which HE used to describe HIMSELF. I would like to ask you one question - do you believe that Jesus (PBUH) is a 'son of GOD' in the same way Prophet Adam (PBUH) is a 'son of GOD', that we are all 'sons of GOD'? or do you believe that he - Jesus (PBUH) is a begotten son?
