    You gave general injecting information. I didn't find any tips that could reduce or avoid bruises.

      There were several tips..one was icing for 30-60 seconds, keep needle at 90 degrees. Re view this again and you'll see more tips

    • @DesiRecipesReviews
      @DesiRecipesReviews 2 роки тому +2

      @Rick Hilliard not keeping needle at 90 doesn't cause brusies.

      @@DesiRecipesReviews that's one of the tips you say weren't in the article. Bruising can be caused by a non 90 degrees needle. Shorter needles was also a suggestion. Sorry you missed the tips given.

    I have a lump on my leg with a bruise from injecting insulin in the same leg over and over again

    I have a little belly fat, but almost only where I vaccinated myself in the abdomen and also in my thighs. Can you offer me something against this? Can it be due to vaccination?

    • @KasanaHealth
      @KasanaHealth  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Ramona, when you say "vaccination" I assume you mean "insulin injection"? If so, injecting in the same spot can cause lipodystrophy (fat accumulation under the skin that causes lumps or indentations). If thats the case, the tips in this video can certainly help (rotate injection sites always). But please consult your healthcare provider so they have a look at it to confirm what it is and give you more personalized advice. Hope this helps 🙏🏽

    Thanks, those were really good.
    I am also taking Trulicity. Do you have any tips on making this weekly injection less painful? I am just about to quit this med because of the pain. I am injecting in my abdomen (in the general area that I do my insulin). I don't have problems with my insulin (esp. if I use a new needle) but the Trulicity is getting unbearable.

    • @KasanaHealth
      @KasanaHealth  2 роки тому +3

      Hi Ken, thanks for watching! Re Trulicity, I have heard that some people find it more painful than insulin... it might be because the needle is already preloaded on the pen, and it has a little spring mechanism that pushes it out when injecting. So as a user, you have less control over it. I'd say don't push the pen too hard on your skin before injecting. And make sure to take your Trulicity pen out of the fridge 30 min before injecting so it's not too cold. Let me know if this helps in any way? 🙏🏽

      @@KasanaHealth Thanks for the reply and help! I took a dose yesterday and located about 2 inches from my belly button and did not press down as hard, and voila! The injection was much, much more tolerable. I was injecting 8-10 inches from my BB and pressing down too hard. Thanks again!

    Hello, I have only three months on insulin, can I drink alcohol?

    • @KasanaHealth
      @KasanaHealth  2 роки тому +2

      hi David! Drinking alcohol is not forbidden when on insulin, however, you have to be aware of the impact it can have on your blood sugar. Your BG levels can go on a rollercoaster up to 24 hrs after drinking, so my advice is to drink in moderation (or as little as possible), never drink on an empty stomach, hydrate properly (with water!), and check your BG regularly for the following 24hrs.
      Hope this guides you a little! Happy holidays :)

    I have very little fat on me, should I still pull up on the skin to avoid the muscle?

    • @KasanaHealth
      @KasanaHealth  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Chris, it depends. As I mentioned in the video, if your needle is 4mm then you most probably don't need a skin lift, even if you have very little fat. If you are unsure, please check with your healthcare provider. Doing a skin lift with a short needle is okay in the meantime. Hope this helps!
