I’ve always considered this one a companion piece to “Here Comes the Circus.”

I mean, serious props to all the skaters for all the effort they put into it, but man... you'd think that they'd have done something a little classier than a circus.

Wow that was a depressing start to a Monday
This gets my vote as second funniest short from MST3K. It doesn't beat Mr. B Natural, but it's dang close.
I would also add Here Comes the Circus and the 2 acrobatic clowns. Still haunts me to this day! 😆😆 I also love Truck Farmers from the I Accuse My Parents because that was the 2nd VHS MST3K episode I bought. It holds a special place in my heart.
I agree. Mr. B Natural is the funniest short, and Circus on Ice comes close. Another good one was "Catching Trouble".
Strong disagree. My favorite MST3K short is "A Case of Spring Fever". It even overshadowed the main feature!

It's amazing circuses lasted as long as they did.
For real. In the early 1970s, Barnum & Bailey's Circus was hyped on TV and the radio constantly. We begged our folks to take us. But they weren't made of money, so we got the nosebleed seats and no opera glasses. You could basically just see what looked like tiny, brightly-colored bits of sparkly lint rolling around a dusty circle. :D I remember staying awake for about 10 minutes and then dozing through all the rest of it. lol.
