Look Both Ways for Trains

- There is a pedestrian crossing the tracks in our downtown that has a voice activated warning of an oncoming train. The crossing has a gate and signs: Look Both Ways For Trains.
There were two trains: one heading west and the second one east, which was much shorter than the first train. Within two minutes after the first train passed, the second train started rolling down the tracks. One of the pleasures of being on Canadian Pacific Railway's main line.
I have noticed a lot of Kansas City Southern engines at the front or in the middle of a long freight train. The two companies, CPR and KCS merged in 2001.
If you are ever in our fair town, and have to cross the tracks, be sure to look both ways for trains.
Looks like a beautiful day up there. My Pop worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad up until it turned into Penn Central. He loved trains. His model railway is still set up in Mom's basement.
Have you played Rail Baron? Great game covering all the major RR's in the U.S. Great geography lesson. Thanks J
What a cool hiking trail.
Cochrane has a web of trails, over 70km's which isn't bad for a town. Thanks J
Funny thing! I mentioned your channel on the train ride on Saturday night!! Lol!!
Was it about trains?
@@thepassionatepackrat1988 Kind of Pat!!! No, it's our train ride that we do every Saturday night!! You silly Pat!!!🤭😇😊
Titus brought me over just subscribed sir
Thanks. Kenny is good that way!
wooow buddy those are really big and long trains, trains and containers are shorter here in México, have a nice day Pat thanks to sharing ✌😃👍
Bonjour Pat, wow, a very long long train ; and the 2 nd train was long too. In french we have an expression " un train peut en cacher un autre" meaning a train can hide an other train. Thanks my friend for sharing and have a great day.
Cool stuff
Trains and containers are shorter here. Nice blue sky
Sad thing is they can be very long, and after waiting several minutes for it to pass by, another train. Yesterday, three trains in a row
Always good advice 👍
Was trying to figure who wrote Hasn't Hit me Yet, and after several hrs it dawned on me, Blue Rodeo. Duh! Haven't seen them live in years
Makes me wonder how often railroad crossings are checked and serviced
This one is. If you get hit by a train at this crossing then you are a candidate for the Who's Tommy, deaf, dumb and blind.
@@thepassionatepackrat1988 … but I’m guessing a train strike would ruin the pinball wizardry
👀 👍
