If the Old Man had still been alive he would have said "even a broken clock is right twice a day"
He was alive in season 14.
He was alive at this time, just retired.
Lol facts 😂 RIP
My favorite saying about that is "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile."
@@lloydlineske2642 my favorite was " if idiots could fly this place would be an airport"
*"I need to stretch a little bit, I've been making some good moves"* 😂
Mr Anderson I
Mr Anderson iii
My name is Neo
Mr Anderson totally gonna use that :p
Mr Anderson Yeah it’s pretty good what’s funny is Chumley with a friend of mine on Facebook, and he was mentioning that his good friend on there was a state champion in Wrestling in Las Vegas and I’m like cool and I soon as I brought that up he defriended me so weird but oh well I’m very weird but who knows
Rick hates when they make good deals without his permission
Because it's a fluke.
because he has done this more times than them and learned it the hard way
No he hates when they dont fact check and just throw money at whatever
@cartwork2013 It's all scripted I only watch it because it's entertaining but it's sad that people actually think this is all legit.
because its scripted to be that way.
Off all these external experts, Mike is my all time favorite. A true professional in the field and a gentleman.
I still like to watch the book ones cause of Rick's face everytime he gets a book cause he knows he can call Rebecca up. 😄
Dude. Rebecca!
Only call him a professional because he’s Asian
mike is probably one out of 2 guys that opperate outside japan whos appraisal id trust for nihonto
he's good.. no doubt... it takes a good amount of skills.. but Rebecca is my fav... :)
lol when rick, gambles he losses most of the time, when chumlee gambles he wins.
A lot of the cooler items they will actually buy over the internet or off camera in some way. Then have an actor do the TV work during the sale.
Ya it's meant to do that. It's much more interesting to have the head guy lose out and the "dumb" guy to win big. He probably actually paid like 10 grand for those swords but the show said he paid 3800
chumlee surprises everyone sometimes. LOL
McBIG ...when i was 16 and stupider , my buddies mom offered to sell me her old guitar . ( this was in 1979 ) ,
a Gibson Les Paul in very fine condition .
but , as i wasn't into guitars i said no thanks , i can use that $50 for better things .
like i said ... stupider .
gavin kemp thats literally wrong lmao, what are you talking about?
Chum: I just made you 10 thousand dollars
Rick: That's a bit too low, can you go 15 thousand?
Chum: I'm not negotiating I'm telling you what happened
Rick: I'm taking a big risk here
let me call in an expert on sales, see what they have to say.
Lmao
Chum: "What are you talking about Rick?"
Rick: "I gotta get it framed."
lol what
He would say something like, yeah you made my 10 thousand with my money, it is my money.
“Hold on I gotta stretch, cus I’ve been makin some good moves” lmfaooo
Classic Chumlee
You look nice
for the whole time, i thought chumlee was rick's son lol
Wait he's not???
chum and hoss are butt buddies
Dude me tooo
Rick would much rather that have been the case!
Rick would’ve been long gone if chum was his son.
Original copy of the Declaration of Independence: *costs 35 million*
Rick: Best I can do is 7,500 and I'm taking a big risk here.
FZGames “you see I’m gonna have to get it framed and protected”
Insert Nicolas Cage giving a goofy look
"Do 7,600 and we may have a deal....but be warned...I may come steal it back"
You can't say "original copy" because it's either an original, or a copy.
@@68corvette08 I think there were like 50 copies of the Declaration of independence made and only a few of them have been found (cant remember how many)
I have the body of Jesus Christ.
Ricky: best I can do is 50 cents and that's a huge risk
what if the signature actually was real, there goes 3 mill lol
Even if it's a forged signature, the age alone makes it a pretty good collectable.
@@scottwpilgrim For casuals. Sure.
@bobby heater ?
Hawkit e
Well the real one was kept in the Japanese Museum . If you're going to buy it, it will cost 3-5 million $ .
3:21 I love the respect he gives to the sword before he handles it. Tells a lot about him and culture towards battle.
What did he do? He just looked at it from what I saw.
@@docducttape9270 He bowed to the sword before unsheathing it.
@@xxoticgaming he sure did. Mike is a great guy and always respectful.
@@docducttape9270 he did just look at it,just the way he looked and held it was the proper respectful way because these swords are swordsmiths pride and legacy they left behind
I missed that, well spotted,😮 but it then surprises me Mike handles the swords with his bare hands where my understanding was in Japanese culture they always wore gloves to prevent some form of interaction between the 'soul' of the blade and their own?🤔 Hence why to this day Shinkansen/Bullet Train drivers traditionally wear gloves. Any thoughts there?
0:00 OMG THAT GUY HAS NO HEAD
wtf observation skills
Nice... I see...
If you go on google maps on the pc and go to street view it blurrs peoples faces. Im guessing thats how they did that
@@caymentelger8952 yeah but why this guy in particular and not the others, it might be because they didn't need to blur the other guys because they are paid actor xD
Stupid
I have to agree with Chumlee on his catwalk analogy.
It's a moo point! It's like a cow's opinion, it doesn't matter! It's moooo!
@@MrParkerman6 "it's like a cows opinion, utterly useless"
@@cmoltisanti4440 Shouldn't that be udderly useless?
No problem here either haha
I love it when Chumlee was proven correct on his purchases! 🤗
I love Japanese people, he is so polite, before he touches EACH sword he asks permission.
As a race on the whole, Japanese people are 100% good people :D
Clearly you never watched karate kid.
It's because Japanese ppl always show respect to ppl they jest meet or are in business with. Where most Americans show disrespect in the first 5 seconds of meeting you for no other reason then because they want to. I personally try to show respect for my fellow man until they give me a reason to not.
and the Way he always bends his head before the sword it gives his knowledge more value
That has absolutely nothing to do with him being Japanese tho.
Chum is actually pretty lucky at getting good stuff. Sometimes I think Rick would rather LOSE the money just to mess with Chum. See how disappointed he was when he found out Chum MADE him money? 😂😂
It's all for show. But that's what Chum really looks like.
Because it's a reality TV show. Chum is just playing a character of himself.
Haaaa - "have to stretch, I've been making a lot of good moves lately," way to go Chum!
colvin bret the fuck?
Wow, gotta say, Chumlee and that sword guy got along famously.
I would watch an entire show just about Mike explaining the lore of various swords.
Easily my favourite expert they call in, calm demeanour, very knowledgeable and always seems very friendly
Look him up, there is video documentary about Mike. He was American born, but at 12 loved the Samurai swords so went to Japan to learn the art and is a Master at observation. Every 4 years Japan has a sword viewing championship and you have to pick up three unknown swords look at them and tell the judges who made it and when (its all in the blade). Mike won his first time entering it and has taken home 2nd and 3rd place several times. He gives his teacher all the credit for his skill. By the way there are over 60 thousand possible answers with each blade during the competition in Japan.
Mike is incredibly laid back for a guy watching his historical culture go through an American hock-shop
Well he is probably more american than japanese at this point.
Japanese people like that their culture is appreciated around the world. There's also a market for Western and American antiques there.
Kinda racist statement
@@markusbonnet439
How so?
Haha maybe. But its also making him money so :P
"Doesn't take skill to win at a slot machine." Love it. Chumlee didn't know to check for a signature. He lucked out.
luvlethalwhites the pawn stars don't buy stuff they haven't in a long time. And when they are in the shop good luck even trying to get them look your way much less talk to you I lived there in Vegas for ten years and was a customer of theirs and never got as much as a hello from them.
I suspect he checked the two katanas.
No! It takes LUCK! Which is what “Chum” had.😉
Chum isn't stupid. He knew he'd get the 3800 back. Probably knew one was worth about 4k. The others might have been a gamble.
@@franksworld9922 if you take something very interesting you will get a hello. Also they have other sales personnel who takes sales
3:29 is very satisfying to watch:)
agree
Agree.. the moment of truth..
You can tell hes not an actual ninja because a ninja would have said "bing bing ping pong pow" right after they did that
The clank is heaven
@@DoktrDub prison is heaven to you? weird flex but okay. guess you really like men huh
I love Mike. Goes complete savage on the last sword and messes with Chum, giving him hope that he made the biggest deal in history
I know right, sometimes you just gotta trust your employees gut. In the jewelry/pawn business there's ALWAYS a risk whether you've been doing it for 1 year or 50
LMBO😂! "Ricky doesn't look too happy!"
I swear...this is my FAVORITE episode.
lmao ricks face when chumlee said i need a stretch a lil bit im been maken some good moves LOL
$13,000? The most I could do is $7.50. You gotta know that I’m the one taking the risk here.
🤣🤣🤣
Ha
Echoes of the Russian sword.
$ 1.50 as they are film props.
No problem for the 1k like 🙂
I love the look on Rick's face while the sword's are being appraised.
When he took off his glasses to look closer I felt that 😭

He's not even in this video 😂 why wouldn't you say that on a video he's actually in?
@@IsraelCountryCube yes, old man passed away
No one is missing that old lazy grouch!
Hey, i recently watched an episode where rick paid 21k for a rifle, put it up for auction and only got 5k for it, so he aint that flash.
bigkiwial Hey you got a link to that episode or clip? Im a bit of a gun nerd but more importantly I also like seeing these douches get burned lol.
Don't worry, Rick is still a millionaire.
Nicholas Blidgett Yeah and your friends probably say that due to release forms signed by them stating they have to keep quiet. They probably sign NDAs for the show. When I went these guys weren't there but they had been filming the day I went
BosoxnationI972 not true I've met Rick and the old man
But it is HIS money. NOT fatsos.
I love how calm Chum remains throughout it all.
How could he not be, he didn’t spend any of his money, and the chances of getting fired, are very low...unless he keeps breaking the law.
I really like Mike. Shows reverence for each sword. Extremely knowledgable and humble.
“Then chum and Corey went a smoked meth in the back room “ lmfao
Where is Rebecca !!!! I need her to appraise my Dr. Seuss collection
She probably say your collection is probably worth $80,000. In good condition in a bad condition probably worth $1000 a book .
I'd appraise her cat in the hat.
i just need rebecca.... full stop
Kermit the Frog
How much Kermit $3000.

I need to see more of this expert, very knowledgeable and respectful
Legend has it that Mr. Brown got along with him famously
That Chumlee cracks me up every time! That guy is just too funny!
Later that night Rick had to bow to Chum and polish his "sword".
In return Chum had to polish Rick's head with his balls. They had gay hardcore sex in the middle of the store while the old man filmed it on 8mm film. Somehow a sword came up missing and Big Haus still can't walk right to this day.
They just put that 13k into paying off the truckasaurus Rex debt
More like dagger. Short dagger.
bow is spelt with an "L" in this scenario.
Justin you really went "Deep"
4:25 "no photos in this direction"
Cameraman: jokes on you, I can't read
I'm always happy when Rick gets defeated by Chum's picks in buying.
Chum does have skills that no everyday joe has. His knowledge of Jordans proved it and this was just icing on the cake.
Bro, what did we learn in this video? It was a catwalk!
That and he has made other good deals
Chumlee is not a skilled appraiser of Japanese medieval swords but he probably does recognise valued well made swords and probably has a rough idea of sale prices based on quality.
He has a 50% chance of being right on every purchase. Anyone would be right half the time. Chumlee is still a chubby dummy who couldn't get lei'd in Hawaii.
I'm surprised at how little they were going for. $13000 sounds very cheap for 3 x 500yr old blades. I'd love to own one myself. Their masterpieces of engineering.
Sell you mine 1 million dollars
I think the value was a bit lower because of the forgery but it still seems low forsure, id expect them to sell for around 10k each (the authentic ones at least)
Mike knows Japanese swords he is a master at identification and can tell just by looking at the blade how old. Mikes judgement is near always spot on. The Japanese sword world is looking for 6 or 8 holy grail swords believed to be taken during the occupation to America or Briton. He'll make a stunning bid himself the day he spots one. @@dosidicusgigas1376

Chum is my favorite in this show. Maybe he can't be a good pawner most of the time but once he do, he will blow everyone's mind with a victory laugh at the end.
Before he got into trouble with the law, Chumlee used to have a range of women's underwear, singlets, t-shirts etc that he made a fortune on. All the hotties love Chumlee.
Chum cat walking through life like a boss 👌🏼
Rick's reactions are PRICELESS
Chumlee is soooo lucky 🍀. Hopefully he can maintain this streak. Go Chumlee!!!
He'd probably tell them it's fake, buys it sells for 50k
That's the price range I was thinking too. Because if you buy a real katana sword from Japan today, it'll cost you about 7k Those swords being over 400 years old would be around 50K+ for all three. He under appraised it drastically. Even if the signature was a forgery, its an authentic 15th century sword. Especially the technique of how a katana sword was made during those days.
It is not fake it is a replica from the medieval period.
At least Rick went to “I appreciate u”mode after discovering the worth of the swords
The face he made before he said “I like where this is going Rick” 🤣
Chumlee goofy goofy
3:15 rick smelled his arm pit and backed off
I saw it and now I can't unsee it
Chumlee scored on this one. Was fun to watch. Great video
"let me stretch a little bit... I've been making some good moves" hahaha I am stealing that one!
Chumlee lands on his feet like a cat
@rickroll11112 Fat or not, cats still land on their feet
chum’s confidence is my favorite part of this show
Wow Chumlee has been consistently above expectations and making money for Rick!!! 😁
Chum isn’t an idiot by far, he has his own business. Check out that mans shoe collection 🔥🔥
Gangster Vapes Chum opened A Candy Shop ...Big Woop..
Shoe collection meaning meth?
Lol yeah that to
Yes he is , hes a waste of space , so what he knos these guys they that automatically means $$$$$ you could be an idiot and have $$$to have your own business, youre impressed at a shoe collection? Who doesnt have at the least decent taste in shoes even short bus kids get cool shoes sometimes, chumlee is kept around for arguments and misunderstandings. Without him the show would not be as fun to watch , sure the cool shit ppl bring in , but these dudes act like they work hard , look at the slicked back douche he always walks in with a sense of pride like bitch y'all don't even get dirty
Who the fuck cares about a shoe collection? Even through they might cost $1200 they are probably made for about $20 by some impoverished Indonesian child
3:26 What a beauty!!!
Ricks thanking chumle whole heartedly shows wat a gentleman he is!!
This whole clip is pure gold it just Never lets up
I have watched this episode so many times...it's great!...well done the pawn stars guys
Pawn stars wouldn't be Pawn stars without the Amazing Chumlee 🥳👍
Lmao yeah I’m on my way to the bbq I just gotta swing by this taping for this tv show on the history channel and I’ll be right over

I love how Mike salues the swords when he removes or replaces them in the sheath!
