I have had the mevo plus for about 6 months and it is an amazing device that has taught me so much about my swing. Hopefully at a cheaper price point this will get the job done for others the mevo plus has done for me.
Roland - Thanks for taking the time to go through the R10. I just received mine 2 days ago, but haven't broken it out yet. Nice to see this video to give me starting point.
First off, really well done video. Very in depth and excellent demo. My thoughts on the unit are this: you’ve basically got Mevo, SCaddie and Rapsodo MLM all at $500. The Garmin R10 seems to do all the things those do just as well, but ALSO has ball flight and simulation capability for $100 more. This is what differentiates it. Now, how accurate the ball flight is, imo determines whether this product is nothing more than a $100 more expensive Mevo or a ridiculous deal. Distance seems really accurate from all videos I’ve seen. Ball flight… I can’t tell. Firmware might need some more time in the oven but if Garmin can get shot shape right 9 out of 10 times, this would be product of the year. Not that it matters for the majority of us - its already out of stock till 2022 and is being scalped as bad as PS5s last year. Honestly, I feel like by the time I can walk into a store and buy this, a competitor like Rapsodo will have its own equivalent. This is really a missed opportunity on Garmin’s part. By allowing a shortage this bad they’re buying their competitors a lot of time and probably missing out on a ton of sales they could have locked in on the R10 before any equivalent is announced.
Crazy on the people buying them up and selling them on EBAY. I wish that kind of stuff could get cracked down on hard. I've been trying to get a PS5 for over a year!! LOL. I look forward to testing out ball flight more on this and keeping everyone posted. I agree there is a lot of good competition in this price range but Garmin has something here if they can keep the shelves stocked!!
100% I was going to buy one for myself and one as a present for christmas but they're sold out everywhere. I am patient though. Waiting for skytrak gc bushnell rapsodo mevo etc to come out with something similar or better for same price
Really like this review/demo. So many other ones I saw were with pros hitting all these straight shots in the fairway. This demo gave me lot better examples of when you don't end up in the fairway - which is more like my real game. My Garmin R10 just arrived two days ago but it has been raining here since so have not had the chance to try it out yet. I'll be outside using a net, but it should be very similar I suspect. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching again Alan!! Glad you liked the review. We keep it 100 percent original here...no fluff from an everyday average golfer's perspective. Keep me posted on how you continue to like your R10!
Outstanding review. Obviously a lot of time, thought and effort went into this video. I just bought the Garmin thru the description. Thumbs up and subscribed.
Great video review. One of the best I’ve seen. Thanks for taking the time. Love the setup. My garage is a bit too small, so I’m looking to set this up on my back patio for the winter months. I’m in Virginia Beach, so weather is fairly decent most of the year. I’m also on the lookout for a portable screen.
I had it and returned mine. It was fun, but while there was a lot of stats, I had to scroll through multiple screens after each shot to see the numbers I was looking for for example swing and ball speed. I would prefer that they put more information on the main screen or allows you to pick what information you want to see so you don't have to scroll after each shot. I think a landscape view especially if I wanted to use an Android tablet but also be of great value. So hopefully in the future they will address a few of these issues and I will re-examine whether I should get it or not.
Definitely good feedback and I would agree with many of your points on reading the stats, etc. I may have held onto it and sold it around Christmas on Ebay as these things are flying off the shelfs and people can't keep them in stock!!
I agree with the landscape mode, but suspect that is something they can and will provide with an update. I was able to find a way to change what is displayed on the main screen. Might have been a change provided with a recent update since it was not in the manual. Just wish I had a room inside to use it during the winter months. Working on that one.
Love your video on using Garmin r10 with simulator I have a question how did you screen mirror to the green screen from your iPad is it a special screen. Thanks
All done in post production. All I see when I am filming is the green screen behind me. It is just literally a green rectangle projected onto a normal golf sim screen. In post I watched some youtube videos on how to easily overlay video behind me on the screen. Looks great but takes a while to learn.
In this video it is not actually through the projector. I used a green screen and overlayed the image in post so the quality would look better. In all actuality all you have to do is connect your ipad or iphone to the projector using a lighting to HDMI adapter. It would then show up through the projector with no issues at all. Hope this helps!
@@GarageGolf Thank you for the reply. I asked the one you showed in this Garmin R10 indoor review to hold your iPhone. If you are not sure, don’t worry about it. Appreciated your video. I just received my R10, hope it would work with my space. 6”+7.5”(from ball to net, hard to make to 8”).

Your footage is incredible. How do you get your camera to capture yourself and the screen so clearly? my camera behind me isn’t even close to be clear and I can’t find a good solution
Since I could not get my phone footage to show up on my screen behind me, what I did was hit into basically a green screen. I replicated an image of a green screen and had it behind me on my projector screen. I then recorded the footage as I was playing the game on the Garmin R10 on my phone and then in post production I overlayed the image onto the screen behind me. Not easy to do at all but lots of tutorials out there for that. If you look at some other footage on my channels you will see I normally have just the actual projected image behind me. Not as clear but still pretty clear overall I would say.
I just purchased the sky track for $2000 and now seeing this Garmin simulator review, i wonder if I made a bad choice for spending more on Skytrak ha ha.
I'm in same boat, but I'm just thinking I may get R10 for a different experience. Just keep both. It would be cool to play courses in sim before live, but skytrak has more 3rd party simulators.
@@supersaiyanyaaj4219 I did not experience this on my end. How far behind you did you place your R10? Of course I was hitting into a screen not a net which is why I am curious how the whole net thing works as well!!
Hello Awesome video thank you for your time? The one thing I cannot figure out is how you're getting that to project onto the screen? Is it the garment device or do you need natural projector?
It was actually a green screen done in post. Easiest way is to connect whatever device you are using with the Garmin R10 (phone, tablet or computer) to the projector using an HDMI cord and adapter as needed. For example Iphone lighting to HDMI adapter.
Well you can use Home Tee Hero. That is only 10 dollars a month. Not sure if they have plans for others down the road. Awesome Golf would be another good one to consider I would think.

The Garmin Golf app yes should be on android. The hometee inside of the garmin app I don't believe was an option at the time of this video but I'll check on it with them asap.
Thanks for watching David. Make sure to subscribe as I will be posting new content all next week from the PGA Show. Lots of new products out there including one that will be in the same price point as the Garmin R10.
I’m a Garmin fan and have the S62 GPS watch, so I really want the R10 to work for my setup. I hit into a net in the backyard, so I’ll look forward to your outdoor net review. My primary concern is hitting over the net, as it’s only 7’ high. I tend to hit much closer to the net than the recommended 8-10’, especially 8 iron and shorter, and from what I’ve researched, most people say the farther back, the better. Your 9’ setup worked fine, so I still may give it a try. I bought a Skytrak on a trial basis, but returned it after 30 days. I really liked it, but Skytrak doesn’t include any simulator access, other than a 30 day trial to 1 E6 course. Ultimately, if you want simulation, you have to pay a Skytrak subscription plus a simulator subscription - a minimum of roughly $500 annually. If it included a few free courses, like the R10, I probably would have kept it. Even though the Garmin Golf courses look cartoonish, I like being able to play local courses.
I have been so impressed with the R10. If you don't mind it not having putting then this may just be the product for you. Still working on getting a net and outdoor access but I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much for watching and hope we can help with any questions. Thanks again!
For this video I used a green screen and added the video in post. However you can easily use a lightning to HDMI connector to connect your Ipad to projector without an issue.
Not sure what you are asking necessarily on this one but the courses do come for free through E6 Connect. You just need to download them on your Ipad or IOS device. Comes as part of the package. Let me know if you were asking something else. Happy to help. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching. No in this video I am using real golf balls. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks again for watching! Roland
Enjoyed the video, thanks and love your setup! You got yourself a new subscriber :) Would love to see how R10 + E6 + PC + projector looks like, and how the experience is playing home tee hero/E6 using R10 + foam balls.
Both are awesome but with the right setup Mevo+ would be much more accurate. Shoot me an email when you get a chance at roland@mygaragegolf.com and we can talk more about your setup and help line you up with good quality products whenever you are ready. I don't sell anything personally so no selling tactics here, just here to help when I can.
Are you going to test it at the range? I heard the accuracy is a lot better. But sometimes the shot shaping is off. Had the MLM but sold it because I and a lot of others were having issues with it. Support seemed non existent either. I have a Garmin R10 coming this week so I'm pretty excited!
Yes so mine was about 2 inches below my mat and read every shot just fine. I will be working on another video to see side by side with something like Skytrak or EYEXO to check on both distances and ball flight.
My personal screen is the SQ Screen from Par2Pro. Reach out to me with any questions on your specific setup as I'm always happy to help. Roland@MyGarageGolf.com. In this video I was using my Ipad to connect to the Garmin R10. It will also connect via PC to E6 Connect if you have an upgraded subscription as well. Thanks again!
Yes I saw it back on video. Mainly meant that it is 2d versus showing elevation like something you would see on E6 Connect. Big fan still of Home Tee Hero.
How did you get the projection to fill up the entire screen? When using the mirroring function from our iphone the image on the screen doesn’t fill it up, it’s just a larger rectangle like the iphone. We’re trying to make a set up like yours. Thank you for the great video!
Interesting video. I have a request: can you test the R10 with "almost golf balls"? I might want to buy the R10 for my living room during the winter. However, it is too dangerous for me to hit with real golf balls and, above all, too loud. I have a handicap of 7 and would like to use the winter time for training at home. Best regards from germany
@@GarageGolf That would be great. Today I was able to test the Rapsodo MLM from a friend. In my home setup with the "Almost Balls" I had good results up to the gap wedge. the pitching wedge with the rapsodo was already 15m less. I had 8 iron 20m less and with 6 iron it was 25m less than my normal strokes on the round. With the woods the difference became even clearer. But I think that the R10 has the big advantage that it also has the simulator in addition to a launch monitor. I'm really curious to see how the Almost golf balls work with the R10. Almost balls have the same speed, spin and take-off angle as a normal golf ball. As such, it could really work well with the R10. It is important to believe that it is the white almost balls. In addition, they are glass break-proof. I'm looking forward to your answer.
@@GarageGolfI second this request! I also have a mat + net indoor setup to hit some foam balls around but using real balls would be too dangerous. I would love to see if using foam balls can help prepare to go to a new course (as home tee hero should have most of the courses around the globe), or practice shot shaping, even if the distance is off. Or at the very least, a semi realistic indoor golf gaming software :)
Please , please do a review hitting into a net outside. I got the R10 and it a BOS, at the driving range result is better close enough. Setup at home with the recommendation by Garmin 6-8ft from the R10and line straight. Hitting into a net with the 8i total distance is 120, LOL in a real world I hit my 8i 160-165yds. The R10 is like your other video that I watch PhiGolf vs Skytrak the distance is way off, R10 being Phigolf. I know that it does not compare to a 2K launch monitor but all I want is the same result from what I am getting at the driving range.
I unfortunately don't have a net yet but working on it. Wonder if there would be a difference if you covered the net on the back to make it more like a screen such as adding a sheet or blanket behind it?? These are all things I hope to test personally as well.
For this video I used a green screen and overlayed the image in post on Adobe Premiere. If you wanted to connect your R10 to a projector you would do so with either a phone or Ipad and use either a lightning to HDMI connector or a USBC to HDMI Connector or something equivalent depending on your connection type for your device.
It is actually a joystick control box that plugs into my pc and allows me to control parts of the game right on the floor without having to go back to my pc. Look up Roxor Boxes here: www.roxorgolf.com/golf-simulator-control-boxes-1
Great review thanks. I think you said you were looking at a green screen then viewing on your ipad? Presume you can just project from ipad to impact screen via projector so you can see the shot and course? Why would you you a green screen rather than the course? Sorry if it's a stupid question. I've just got an R10 and am interested in creating a basic golf sim using R10 & E6 connect. Thanks again, you've got a new follower.
Thanks Simon. I addressed it in the beginning of the video but I was trying to screen mirror it to my pc screen and then my projector but for some reason I was getting a ridicilous delay of more than 30 seconds which obviously wouldn't work for video purposes. Since I had used Green Screen in the past and know that the image comes out super clear I decided to go that route instead. If you have a good program for screen mirroring you would be just fine I am sure.
Great mat. Was testing it on the channel inserted into my Truestrike mat. Unfortunately the owner of the company recently passed away due to Covid so they are not currently selling products at this time I believe and they may be selling the company. I am not sure on all the details but very sad news to hear that for sure.
Great set up man. Quick question. I just opened mine up today. My distances are like 20 yards off. What would you say is the cause? I tried adjusting several times and it only got worse from the 20 yards. 8’ from net, 6-8’ from behind was the Garmin. Alignment as close to 100% as possible. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Would you say 20 yards off from what you see outside or 20 yards off from another launch monitor. Have you repeatedly swung indoors before? Sometimes there is an adjustment there that needs to be made before you are swinging the same inside as you would outdoors. It's called Indoor Swing Syndrome and honestly everybody experiences this at first for a month or two until you get fully acclimated. Let me know when you have a moment.
Great in depth video. Watched another video comparing EYE XO with R10. As pointed out earlier, spin is determined by a mathematical formula and not measured? Would having a metal dot like Mevo+ for indoor use improve accuracy in general and more specifically spin data. To have have club-head data at this price point is amazing. I’m seeing people just getting recently. Any advice on how to grab one? eBay would be $900. Thanks for the great review!!!!
Thanks for watching Jeffrey. It seems to be backordered almost everywhere but I will keep you posted if I see a link where you would not be paying inflated prices. I will keep you posted for sure.
I did a lot of research and found that Bridgestone Golf balls tend to work very well and last a long time so I use those as well as Srixon Q Star golf balls as well. Both have lasted very long.
I bought the Mevo Plus around 4th of July and have used it almost every day. It has improved my score by about 3-5 strokes per round, mainly because I know my iron distances so much more accurately now. I hit into a net with about 8-9 feet of ball flight with the Mevo+ set 7 feet from the ball and I really, really get accurate distance. I do not use the putting feature although I do chip when playing my sim rounds. I should really love my purchase, except about a month after purchasing the Mevo+, the R10 came out. Given that I don't putt, did I overspend on the Mevo? It seems the R10 can do most of what the Mevo can do plus give you club path and attack angle. Any input would be appreciated.
Hi Chris, thanks for watching. While I don't personally own the Mevo Plus due to the restrictions for distances and my lack of space in my sim I have tested it and know it to be a quality product. Many of the features that are calculated and accurately measured on the Mevo+ are actually just estimated on the R10 so I still feel that the Mevo+ is the superior product, thus the difference of 1400.00 in price basically. That being said I have been nothing but impressed with the Garmin R10 and it's features. I don't feel you overpaide for your device at all but I also feel you probably would be very impressed with the R10 if you had the opportunity to test it out. I loved how I did not really have one misread in my testing and look forward to continue testing it out as we go. Thanks again!
I download the scorecard for every course I play. The handicaps for each hole are right there. The spin factor of the R10 is done with math analytics and is NOT accurate, so distances are largely shorter. Hopefully Garmin will fix this in a future firmware/software upgrade.
Can I ask, did you upgrade the firmware before this test. Its now on 3.60 The reason I ask, is when you did the last chip shot on the first E6 course, it was calculating (because it had detected your club waggle before hitting it). That could be why it didn't work too well. They say that has been fixed on 3.60 firmware. Thanks
I can't see those working at all (but I haven't tried) I have this unit. It very accurately measures the actual ball speed. If you hit it slightly fat (particularly on driving bay mats, where you can feel the mat stopping the club) your ball speed comes right down. You look up, and that's exactly what happened to your ball flight, and your 150yrd 7 iron has only gone 130yrds Those foam balls will never achieve anything like the ball speed of an actual golf ball. So it may measure it, but the stats will be so way off as to make them useless.
@@daveedaem thank you for your speculation! have you used your unit indoors? is the r10 accurate with 6 feet behind the ball hitting into a net 8 feet in front of the ball? is the flight between the AlmostGolf ball and a regular ball significant at this distance? is this a fault of this specific launch monitor or all of them? are we comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges? your commentary is no different than me trying to convince you that a TaylorMade will hit further than a Titleist without ever hitting a ball

Putting would be nice but you'd be surprised how that doesn't end up really making such a big deal after you get used to sim golf. I often play rounds with it off just to work on real life shot scenarios.
@@GarageGolf I'm definitely getting one. there's a 5-8 week backorder on Garmin website. I will build my own simulator using this. Thanks for the awesome video!

Sure, I'd be happy to if you are able to give me a few weeks to test it out before a review. Shoot me an email at roland@mygaragegolf.com and we'll go from there. Thanks again!
No, it's not even close to the skytrak or mevo plus. Skytrak and mevo plus are on another level. I love the features but if you want the accuracy it doesn't read the spin as well. It cant.....you can't use a battery pack. When the battery dies you have to charge it and can't play. So basically ifs going to give you shots that are much straighter than they should be.
@@GarageGolf I do think it's a huge value. Some guys just hit into a net for practice. This is affordable and a nice tool to be able to practice with. I am looking forward to your comparison video. Hopefully soon!

I think you will still love it Matt! It is a bit more detailed and offers putting plus you can charge and play it at the same time.
I'm in same boat, but I'm just thinking I may get R10 for a different experience. Just keep both. It would be cool to play courses in sim before live, but skytrak has more 3rd party simulators.
@@asleepart11_16 Agree. A few more sim partners would also be nice as well across the board for almost all sim companies.
@Matt you make the right choice for the skytrack, R10 nothing but issue if using for indoor hitting into a net.
@@supersaiyanyaaj4219 I did not experience this on my end. How far behind you did you place your R10? Of course I was hitting into a screen not a net which is why I am curious how the whole net thing works as well!!
Hello
Awesome video thank you for your time? The one thing I cannot figure out is how you're getting that to project onto the screen? Is it the garment device or do you need natural projector?
It was actually a green screen done in post. Easiest way is to connect whatever device you are using with the Garmin R10 (phone, tablet or computer) to the projector using an HDMI cord and adapter as needed. For example Iphone lighting to HDMI adapter.
Do you know if the garmin will connect to a cheaper software than e6?
Well you can use Home Tee Hero. That is only 10 dollars a month. Not sure if they have plans for others down the road. Awesome Golf would be another good one to consider I would think.
I wish there was a garmin r10 package you could buy with everything you need for a home setup
Here is one for a practice setup. If you need something else, just email me at roland@mygaragegolf.com and I can help find a setup for you at no cost. rainorshinegolf.com/collections/all/products/garmin-r10-practice-package?ref=garagegolf
Is garmin app available on andriids phone? I have a samsung 51 however I couldn't find tge app. Regards.
The Garmin Golf app yes should be on android. The hometee inside of the garmin app I don't believe was an option at the time of this video but I'll check on it with them asap.
Amazing Video - Thank you :)
You have to make sure the club setting is right. If you are hitting an iron on the Driver setting it will likely be off.
Thanks for the tip! I was not aware of that with the R10.
I realize the R10 is reading on your Ipad how do you get the pic up on the screen do you connect your ipad to a projector??
For this video I used a green screen and added the video in post. However you can easily use a lightning to HDMI connector to connect your Ipad to projector without an issue.
So do you have to for the free 5 courses on e6?
Not sure what you are asking necessarily on this one but the courses do come for free through E6 Connect. You just need to download them on your Ipad or IOS device. Comes as part of the package. Let me know if you were asking something else. Happy to help. Thanks again!
Can you play with guest on the e6 app just like the home tee?
Yes you can play with a guest or even have them create their own account for E6 for free.
Great video. keep up the good work!!
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff champ, are you using plastic balls for your shots? Thanks brother
Thanks for watching. No in this video I am using real golf balls. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks again for watching! Roland
Well done. Very nice review.
Enjoyed the video, thanks and love your setup! You got yourself a new subscriber :) Would love to see how R10 + E6 + PC + projector looks like, and how the experience is playing home tee hero/E6 using R10 + foam balls.
Hi I’m on the fence between r10 and mevo+. A bit concerned with accuracy of r10 though. Your thoughts?
Both are awesome but with the right setup Mevo+ would be much more accurate. Shoot me an email when you get a chance at roland@mygaragegolf.com and we can talk more about your setup and help line you up with good quality products whenever you are ready. I don't sell anything personally so no selling tactics here, just here to help when I can.
Does the Garmin R10 work on PC with E6?
Yes
Are you going to test it at the range? I heard the accuracy is a lot better. But sometimes the shot shaping is off. Had the MLM but sold it because I and a lot of others were having issues with it. Support seemed non existent either. I have a Garmin R10 coming this week so I'm pretty excited!
Hope to get out there this week to test. Keep me posted on when you receive yours if you do any testing on your end!
Nice, so you are actually hitting surface is above where the unit is? I have been having issues with distance on mine. Ball flight is right there.
Yes so mine was about 2 inches below my mat and read every shot just fine. I will be working on another video to see side by side with something like Skytrak or EYEXO to check on both distances and ball flight.
You just don't hit too far 😆
@@first_last- Good one!!!
What is the best screen set up for the R10? Are you using a tablet to connect to the R10?
My personal screen is the SQ Screen from Par2Pro. Reach out to me with any questions on your specific setup as I'm always happy to help. Roland@MyGarageGolf.com. In this video I was using my Ipad to connect to the Garmin R10. It will also connect via PC to E6 Connect if you have an upgraded subscription as well. Thanks again!
The yellow number on the top right gives you elevations.
I didn't. I used a green screen and added the video in post for better quality view on playback.
I don't own any but let me see if I can order some for a potential video. I am happy to if I can find some online. Thanks again!
@@GarageGolf Will do, I might just buy a golf hitting screen and see if there is a difference comparing the two.
When you are playing a course are you selecting which club you are using for each shot?
You can but I typically never do on E6 Connect for the most part.
how did you connect R10 to projector?
For this video I used a green screen and overlayed the image in post on Adobe Premiere. If you wanted to connect your R10 to a projector you would do so with either a phone or Ipad and use either a lightning to HDMI connector or a USBC to HDMI Connector or something equivalent depending on your connection type for your device.
Is the white box on the floor a projector?
It is actually a joystick control box that plugs into my pc and allows me to control parts of the game right on the floor without having to go back to my pc. Look up Roxor Boxes here: www.roxorgolf.com/golf-simulator-control-boxes-1
Do you use projector at all?
@@larrycherrin Hi Larry, yes I sure do. Take a look through some of my videos and you'll see a couple on the projectors I use here in the studio.
What is your green screen size?
Screen size in sim is 15 ft wide x 9 feet tall.
If you have a good program for screen mirroring you would be just fine I am sure.
what d you think about the divot action mat?
Great mat. Was testing it on the channel inserted into my Truestrike mat. Unfortunately the owner of the company recently passed away due to Covid so they are not currently selling products at this time I believe and they may be selling the company. I am not sure on all the details but very sad news to hear that for sure.
Any news on when E6 will be on Android?
No news that I am aware of. I am not even sure if this is something they plan on doing. I have not heard that on my end.
How accurate are is the R10 in all its Data could you do a review against unevil plus or any other simulator
Working on a video comparing this to the EYEXO shortly.
Hi Mate, which indoor Balls do you use? I tried Plastik Balls but the R10 doesn‘t read them. Thx for help.
I did a lot of research and found that Bridgestone Golf balls tend to work very well and last a long time so I use those as well as Srixon Q Star golf balls as well. Both have lasted very long.
So, with the Garmin on e 6 there is no option to putt, or do you just have it turned off??? Also, can you use this TGC2019?
No putting with the Garmin R10 at all. Can only be used with E6 Connect at the moment and also just recently Awesome Golf!
Sporina golf net. 👌
That's actually one on my list I really want to test!!
I download the scorecard for every course I play. The handicaps for each hole are right there.
The spin factor of the R10 is done with math analytics and is NOT accurate, so distances are largely shorter. Hopefully Garmin will fix this in a future firmware/software upgrade.
Looking forward to testing out the new update!
Can I ask, did you upgrade the firmware before this test. Its now on 3.60
The reason I ask, is when you did the last chip shot on the first E6 course, it was calculating (because it had detected your club waggle before hitting it). That could be why it didn't work too well. They say that has been fixed on 3.60 firmware. Thanks
There was no update before the video. I will check on it again now and see if I can update it. Thanks for the note!!
How does the r10 react to using practice balls such as AlmostGolf or maybe even plain foam practice balls?
Look forward to testing for you asap!
@@GarageGolf thanks in advance!
I can't see those working at all (but I haven't tried) I have this unit. It very accurately measures the actual ball speed. If you hit it slightly fat (particularly on driving bay mats, where you can feel the mat stopping the club) your ball speed comes right down. You look up, and that's exactly what happened to your ball flight, and your 150yrd 7 iron has only gone 130yrds
Those foam balls will never achieve anything like the ball speed of an actual golf ball. So it may measure it, but the stats will be so way off as to make them useless.
@@daveedaem I would most likely agree here as well. Looking forward to trying it out though.
I really like your set up, excellent! I'm just wondering how did you do the set up, where to buy the impact screen, the hooked up etc? Thanks!

Should play in a Home Course Hero Tournament and post that
Thats on the Garmin R10
Garmin or Skytrak?
Hi Justin,
Skytrak will certainly do more and is available now. Garmin R10 is a great value if you don't mind not having putting but it is a 20 week to 22 week wait right now. If you are interested in either one please let me know and I'll send you our links. If you have any questions reach out to me anytime at roland@mygaragegolf.com. Thanks again!
New sub, great vid. Thanks for going into such detail. Just ordered one on ebay!!
Edit: were you ever able to get e6 working on PC? My understanding is that you can for $300/yr and don't have to pay the $2500 initial buy, do you know if that is correct? Thanks!
Yes, that video will be coming up soon!
I would say this would be damn near perfect if you can putt
Putting would be nice but you'd be surprised how that doesn't end up really making such a big deal after you get used to sim golf. I often play rounds with it off just to work on real life shot scenarios.
@@GarageGolf I'm definitely getting one. there's a 5-8 week backorder on Garmin website. I will build my own simulator using this. Thanks for the awesome video!
Hey Roland! I designed an alignment stand for the Garmin R10 to put your alignment stick in! Let me know if your interested and I'll send you one! I posted a short video that explains it!
I'm a huge fan none the less. I look forward to testing this out side by side vs the Uneekor EYEXO shortly. Keep an eye out for that video soon.
@@GarageGolf I do think it's a huge value. Some guys just hit into a net for practice. This is affordable and a nice tool to be able to practice with. I am looking forward to your comparison video. Hopefully soon!
