Hi and Merry Christmas. If I grind off the collars, do you think the barbell will break at the collars? I have a hoist mi7 smith that needs collars which are at least 56” apart if I want to also use it as a regular rack. I can’t find any barbell with collars more then 52” apart. What do you think?
I would contact Titan and ask how the bar is made. Based on how it looks, its one straight bar and those collars are welded on so in that case, it shouldnt.
Do you have a video showing yourself doing belt squats with an axle bar?

Do standard collars fit, or are axle collars required?
I see my other Titan Fitness specialty bars are at least 50mm. This axle bar is listed at 49mm.
I have several collars and they all seem to fit fine. No issues.
