You're missing my favourite one - Cook wants to bring his ship into the harbour, but Chief Billy says no. When Cook asks why, Billy gets his man to flip over his mere and shows a Nuclear Free Zone sign.
Best comedian of the times!!! those were the days when people could laugh at cultural stereotypes and themselves without being deemed racist or discriminating!!!! The world needs a Billy T!!!
@Manurewa.685 get your head out of your ass. As the grandson of one of the Ngāti Awa elder leaders, you can F%#k right off with your segregationist, racist pontificating bullshit.
@Manurewa.685 you confuse “delete”, with “edit”. Don’t give credence to the phrase “dumb Maori” when you can literally see (edited) next to the time stamp.
This show would stop the nation every Sat night (only rugby tests could do that). If you were in a pub, the TV got turned up and everyone went quiet to listen until laughter at the punch lines.
I'm an Australian and learnt about this billy t James fella about ten years ago came across him on UA-cam bit before my time but I love him he was a funny guy!
I loved watching Billy when I was younger an it's still as funny today. U have 2 be pretty awesome 2 achieve that. Bean is the only other I can think of
The days were we could all joke and laugh together about our past and enjoy eachother compuny in the present moment. Those days are over with everyone getting fired up over our history even tho that wont change a thing apart from divide us
@@barbaramckenzie7157 what are you on about. The Billy I knew would have hated you talking about him & the "woke generation". He would be taking the piss out of people who talk about it & seem to think there is only pre & post woke. I wish he was alive to do so.
Back when this was made Fosters, while not the biggest seller in Australia, was doing OK. I don't find any of the CuB beers that interesting, but I might try the new stronger VB? Recipies change & several years back Fosters (well, in Australia) became a easy to drink. i.e. bland mid strengh beer. For decades now, if you want it, you'll have to go looking (sounds like a wasted day???)

The two beer one's were interesting...no doubt after 6 months at sea the English would have very little beer..but perhaps lot's of rum.. I don't think beer was put in cans then...

Thank God Billy & many others in these sketches are no longer here to see how we have lost ourselves humor wise.
Yeah they'd be gobsmacked at how sensored everything is now
History of NZ between the Maori and English but still find a way to take the piss out of the Aussie's. Classic.

NZ hasn't had many comedians or tv series that are good at all. Billy is the exception.
Never liked bean but yeah he's still popular

Wooohhhh drink 😂🙌
Yeh there's so many fake ass people with fake ass stories
I hope someone can find the one where Cook asks if he can park his boat in the bay and the tribe shows him the Nuclear Free sign hahaha
Sure, it's a nuclear sign? I always thought it was a propeller (machine drive prohibited).
That was pio
I came here for that one myself. Still cracked up when it was Credit cards
Glue for your children cracks me up every time
Yea it cracks me up to but if you dared to say anything like that now all hell would break loose.
Let Aotearoa never forget the comic genius that was Billy T or how much he loved his country.
The same people who insist on changing the name of New Zealand hated Billy T James and tried to force him off the air because he wasn't woke enough.
@iMac Hunt Yep the pre-woke generation, the one with a sense of humour.
How about all the others involved. It wouldn't have been half as funny without them.
