You never explained what is the point of this? does it project a spot on your target or just on the screen. I have never used one and have no idea what is the point?
Forgive me I took for granted that I was going to make an outdoor actual use video for a follow-up. But what this Dot site is great for is once it's set up in your camera shoe, and you have the alignment process completed with your viewfinder and or display of your camera to this device, then when you're trying to acquire far away objects like let's say a bird or an airplane and add to it possibly the object moving, this dot sight adds eye relief, and makes for quicker acquisition or alignment of the camera for being able to take photos of these far away objects
This is not cheap. But I was willing to pay more for modified version for our Sony A-1, ATG Gold NS DF-M1 Kim X. So if you are serious than paying $900.00 is nothing. Because results speak out loud.
This laser dot sight is game changer for birding, I use this with my 200-500mm lens on my DSLR. Highly recommend it for birding..
