Eepp! I’m so excited to show you all what I’ve planned out for Luca’s nursery! I looked for a long time for inspiration through Pinterest and people I follow online and I just wasn't loving anything I was finding for boys. It seemed like it was either tacky or very neutral. I love neutral, but I just felt like I wanted something more fun for the little guy, finally it all started to click! I’m so excited for this room, I’m probably going to enjoy it more than anyone haha. So this is probably a blessing in disguise. This happened to my husband blanket. Here is my advice. Completely take the panels apart. Take the cotton out and put the fabric type filler that you can sow in it. Works like a charm!! I got a seamstress to do it, because I didn’t trust myself 😁

@@MissyChrissy23 yes!! Here’s the thing, once you fix it, you can wash it and dry it as much as you want! You wouldn’t want a children blanket that you couldn’t wash 😂

It may not feel like it now, but this might be for the best. First, if you're going to give a small child a blanket you definitely want it to be something you can wash, so this blanket might not have been a great choice long term. Also, it might be best to let Luca pick a sentimental item of his own when he's able to do so, because it's very likely he will find himself attached to an item other than the one you got for that purpose.
I really like the mushrooms and bunnies, it has sort of a folksy warm vibe 😍

What an adorable theme! A whimsical, foresty theme is totally doable for a boy or girl! Definitely gonna store that inspo in the back of my mind if I ever have a baby boy! Also, I need to try your sandwich recipe!🤤 Excited for the next episode!😂

Aaaaaaaw no!!! I’m cringing at the blanket situation! I’m so sorry! I’d be heartbroken too. But I totally understand the nostalgia of wanting your baby to have a blankey. My 6 yr old STILL sleeps with the one I bought him as a baby and it’s special because we moved overseas and it’s from our home country and my 2 year has a cheap lovey I got from tj maxx…they sometimes have beautiful blankets! Cheaper is probably better with children too.

I've never seen the shredded cheese melted on the outside of the sandwich tip! Looks delish. I'll definitely try it out 😁 And Luca's nursery's going to look so cute. If you do a full nursery tour, you could play that lovely fantastical, Narnia music in the background 😊

I swear, whenever you go "Eeeeeee" it's not just absolutely ADORABLE, Morgan, but it got me thinking of myself dressed as a character for Halloween, whose pretty much a mixture of Uncle Fester meets The Phantom of the Opera, and terrifying children late at night with them going like "Eeeeeee". Haha ...The setup for yours and Paul's lil' one, Luca, is indeed incredible! :D

This is random but my mom also had a similar experience where God told her she would have a boy named Elijah… that was when she was pregnant with me 😅 they even joked about naming me Elijah. I was named Ruth Hannah instead. My mom then proceeded to have two more daughters… giving her a grand total of 4 daughters. She kept waiting for her boy. Then he came! And of course… he was named Elijah :)
I believe you’ll have your daughter Grace someday! God knew she would need a big brother!

Go to a place that will finish of quilts. They could probably quilt in a cute design by free hand or machine. And they could also fix the trim. And it will be way sturdier going forward and will hold up in the wash going forward too.
I honestly don't understand why they sell baby things that aren't machine washable.
My favorite part of the future nursery is the mushroom print with that adorable snail on it!
I don't know if you've heard of rawbeautykristi on here, but she recently painted a very similar theme mural on her sons wall. Such a cute theme for a boy!
I feel the same! Due with my boy 9/12. Everything I see everywhere is blue and grey. We’re going a little more boho!

I guarantee by the age of 2 a mushroom is going to turn into a car or a weapon. lol My son's 1st bday was winnie the pooh themed and his 2nd birthday was cars. He has older sisters too. It can't be stopped! hahaha
I found some nice linen baby blankets. I just googled them. If you prefer Cotten I’d do the same. I even found one with evergreen trees as a print. Not exactly the same but I hope you find one you and he will love for years to come.
Also I too have long planned out nurseries for my wanted children. Still no kids but my nursery ideas are space themed. As you can tell by my UA-cam name I love space and astrophysics. I would love to have stars and comets and planets etc. For a boy rocket ships and astronauts. For a girl (this sounds silly) but Sailor Moon who was a princess who lived on the moon. So I get the preplanning.
I'm gonna try and find my baby blanket and save that for my kid or I wanna buy a handmade baby quilt and have that.

I got sad because I’m sewing my baby a going home outfit and my sewing teacher convinced me to do a small instead of x-small and I cried when I was almost done and realized it was too big’! I can make another smaller but pregnancy hormones make everything more intense and sad 😂
Kind of ridiculous that you can't wash a blanket that is clearly for a baby.
I guess if they didn’t give any instructions on cleaning it, the best thing would have been to maybe hang it to air out? Just to get the smell out. But still, it’s a baby blanket and eventually it would have had to been washed! I’m sorry the company didn’t help you out with the blanket situation 😔

Yeah it’s not that big a deal in the big scene of things but when you’ve put so much time into finding exactly what you want and it was supposed to be something fun and easy and then turns out crappy when you’re a mom esp it’s just 👎🏼😤
The shop should have replaced it for you!!!!
Or at the very least provided instructions for cleaning it! $110 is a lot of money to spend on something to get ruined in the wash. Shame on the company for not replacing it for her or helping her in any way basically.
