There is another brilliant interpretation of this piece from Russia, young Ivan Bessonov-I think his sound a little richer but I just love this one from Chopin and it doesn't show up that often-give him a listen-he won in 2018 Russian competition and one Chopin release with this on it plus a 2nd release came out that has Chopin, excerpts from The Nutcracker and his own compositions-:)
+Mehrunes Dagon We going to publish some other recordings of Pollini from 1960. But it is yet impossible to get it on CD. I cannot promise that, but maybe in the future... We shall of course announce this on our website, if that is the case.
+Chopin Institute I was aware that a recording of Pollini playing the fifth Polonaise from a Warsaw Competition was released among other live peformances (from other competitions) in Laserlight's ''Great Chopin Performers'' and I was wondering if this is the same recording, either way I am thankful on any kind of publication of this sort, keep up!

Merci.
Rest in peace Maestro Pollini 💛
He is only 18 here..
Great playing
The Sir is the best with this piece, no one better, legendary master at the unique ending
Wonderful...
rest in peace, Pollini
I had his recording of the Polonaises when I was a teenager and he always seemed to play them quite well. RIP
Pollini IS a masterpiece!
Incredible!
This is really the best interpretation.🎶❤️
Piękne.
That Chopin dude surely knew how to crank out some tunes, not just four chords.
Good Morning Chopin Institute. Could you please upload Pollini's performance of the 3rd impromptu? Thanks!
This is the best interpretation.

Richard Hamelin, evgeny and pogorelich are also good
He plays with an icy resolve, downright violent at times, quite fitting of this revolutionary composition.
The Drawing Movement By Sis. Princess 4:27
❤
He plays in Blüthner.
No, the competition piano was a steinway
But you can see the Bluthner logo on the piano in this picture.

Rubinstein on the corner
