The publication was called Prison News Service, printed in Canada. The prisoners would submit written materials to the Canadian office. It was like an exclusive channel for big voices repressed by the federal government. I considered them "legends" or "icons." They all spoke about the plot to destroy Black and Brown communities. They never glorified prison life.
Any level headed person understands what you mean by legend. It’s again these social media snowflakes that look for something to argue or be enraged about. Any post on social media will get at least one of these people commenting. Put the most positive post in the world out there and there will be someone somewhere that will shit on it because they have a negative mindset. I'm very curious about that. Many American Jews tend to be white, but it's wrong to say they're of the same "race" (unless you believe Ashkenazi Jews are not real Jews). Suppose you consider that and the fact that many white-only factions in American prisons (namely California) seem to be inherently antisemetic, it makes you wonder what "car" Jews end up rolling with in Cali prisons. That said, I concluded that a certain past leader of a white-only faction is Jewish, despite my research being quite vague in terms of the clarity of the evidence presented.

But, if youre any SouthWest State or Federal Institutions or live that street life, IF ONE IS NOT STUPID, one knows there are consequences for opening one's mouth like a fool. Lots of these groups have people (even of other Races) we all grew up hearing their names in the streets and in juvenile hall, the youth authority, whatever hence, their reference- Legends. The icing on the cake for those not knowing is being aware that even members acknowledging their own groups exist, is basically a death sentence for them.
Legends are also personal to the speaker talking about a particular legend. A legend to me may not be a legend to you. When I worked inside, I remember the biggest legend was the one who STH up, no matter what!
