I've considered this tent as the basis for a 12 man hiking sauna. I know Savotta makes sauna tents, but the capacity is too small for my needs. Savotta tells me that the Hawu 8 won't hold the heat because of the ceiling vents. What do you think?
Thank you for one of the few proper reviews about this tent, which is hard to see in person. I'd have two questions for anyone who knows : 1- is there anything that prevents ground moisture to wick up the fabric where it touches the ground ? 2- can the bottom rim easily be pegged down, to avoid the sides blowing in in windy weather ?
Well it is not from savotta and I needed a solution from the mosquitoes. It's from my lite weight seek outside tent, but you can buy it lose here seekoutside.com/cimarron-redcliff-half-nest/ but they changed it a bit, but you can still use it
Nice review! Looks like a good tent, but really for winter. For summer in Scandinavia - no bug nets, not watterproof... hard to imagine this should be a finnish product. Because these are my main enemies in northern summer!
And can only agree on everything you are writing. I hope savotta will make the changes, or make it optional. About water, you can waterproff it, I just tested the tent as it is, from stock.
Interesting tent setup. Would it be possible to use a longer centre pole to give more head room on the inside? I realize that will cost some floor space. For summer use, one could just use half the tent, but would need a solution for bugs.
First review Ive seen with downsides.
Good review thank you!
Looks like an interesting shelter.
That WeatherWool Anorak looks very handsome on you sir! Thank you and enjoy your Al's Anorak!

Interesting shirt you are wearing, could you please tell the model?
Very nice review, thanks! Could you please tell what is this inner tent/mosquito net you are using at 3:34 ? Seems like a nice addition :)

Is this tent made of the Tancate FR-1 or FR-2 fabric?
Where the changes you mentioned considered and made?
They are still working on bits on the tent, and I will make a video of the changes comes

It is possible then the walls will be off the ground and the tent Will kind off flowd like a tarp
Video will not play past 42 seconds, been trying for half a day
It work for me. Try a different browser.
I think this is "sissiteltta" for FDF (or atleast lt looks like one).
This is basically an improvement on on it.
Can you carry this on your backpack ?
Disappointing that it is not as waterproof as it should be.
I barely use shelter.. *unless* it's raining, I cannot understand a 900£ tent that leaks.
Baffled, but excellent video sir :)
