it's been a long while since i've seen anyone use this little fella.. i still often play the T-80 with my 2.7 lineup since it's (just like the T-70) a great defensive vehicle that can be very usefull for defending a coridor or cap point. The T-80 does still have the wobly gun and slow turret traverse but at least it's larger turret gives it an amazing reload and a bit more survivability. very nice video on a forgotten classic!
T-80 also gets scouting doesn’t it? That’s extremely useful too, especially at times you need to be more passive and avoid combat. You’re able to spot everyone you see.
I was one of those T70 players. It's a very fun little tank, but it's definitely not invincible. It's quite easy to angle too much. If you angle the side where the engine is, you become unkillable tho.
It's ironic that I tend to use the T-70 for the fun of it, rather than just mindlessly BT rushing or flanking. There are plenty of rounds that can pass through the upper front glacis, especially if they are positioned higher whether it be through terrain or turret height. But for everything at the same elevation, that sloping is nasty. I've soaked plenty of fire from 45mm, 37mm, and some 50mm projectiles when angled even slightly. Overall it's pretty decent for it's BR, but I feel like many other vehicles either have a bigger punch or more speed. Still fun to use.
Just my personal experience, but at least in random battles, it's been slower than other tanks, easily 1-shotted from the front by most tanks (even other light tanks), has that gun bounce, bad gun depression (I mean, it's a russian tank, what can you do?), and it's in the same BR as other tanks that just kinda outshine it. That said, it's got a small profile which really helps, and while it's not packing much power, it's good enough for lighter tanks for sure. It works great for ambush tactics, but I wouldn't use it for sniping without a hidden position and surprise, and definitely not for pushing. I think mostly it's just the frustration factor, though. People like a gun that actually aims were you want, and with that slow turn speed and all that gun bounce, it'll frustrate newer players very easily. By the time they can compensate via skill, they've probably moved on to much higher tiers. Me, I'll be glad to be done spading this thing so I can move on. I'm just hoping for a less wobbly gun or maybe better turning with the next one in line. I kinda miss the T-60's autocannon, though, that was fun. 😁
try the T-35. it is the best low tier premium. it has the power of 2x T-26 and 1x T-26-4 combined and the slow speed together with the large hull gives you effective stabilization. you can fire a cannon shell every 1.5 seconds if you alternate between the guns. you have enough crew to survive through several unlucky situations. when people shoot one turret, the other can still return a shot. once i was surrounded by 5 enemies. they did not realize that because i had guns pointing in every direction, it was i who had surrounded them!
If you want the opposite experience, no armor but great gun handling, play the British Cruiser tanks. They are one of the best low tier vehicles BR wise.
@@Rhsig The Crusader is great but it doesn’t compare to other British tanks, which are much better. There are a ton of very good vehicles in the British tech tree. The Crusader Mk III is already much better.

Thanks mate, but yea the wobly gun is really problematic. But like you sad, for defensive purpose its awesome

@@VulpseiusFox yep it does!
Good tank, I have mastered it and have 500+ kills with it. I love to compare it to a Panther, specifically the D variant, they play almost the same.
Now that you said it, yeah it play surprisingly similar to a Panther
I wish we had more vehicles like this in war thunder, the lower tiers could be so more if gaijin just put a little effort on them
I agree, I prefer low to midtier. Its so much better than toptier and deserves more love

Very intresting, gonna try this one out

Bro is having the sweetest voice ever, love it
Aww, thanks mate. Thats very kind:)
That tank needs some dampeners. Good god.
The T-60 actually wobbled even more than the T-70, due to its shorter chassis. But this is not reflected in the game.
Can be quite frustrating, ngl
3:05 was it not the P-400s 20mm that killed you?
True, but through that i found out you can get killed by 50. cal

Very cool tank, like a lower version of the SMK, but i dont have the golden eagels sadly to relieve your epic story;)
They bumped its br up, thing use to dominate
T-70 is just like the T-80 and T-50
T-80 perhaps, but the T-50 plays very different
@@Rhsig the difference?

After playing the Crusader, im really not looking forward to playing British tanks again:/

Nice video, but comments are unnecessary. Pure gameplay is much more interesting.
I mean T-50 and T-60 exist
