With the greatest respect and in the best possible way could you now just film and publish the full-length painting of a large scale painting with all the technical detail. Mystery is a beautiful and moving thing but it is not revealed by exposing process, that's why it's inexplicable. In this magicless world of mediocrity, there is still no substitute for hard facts. It is impossible to reveal what lies behind the veil.
As far as I know, he uses the Appales Palett: White, Yellow Ochre, Red and Black. It seems ( at least to me) that he also hss these four colours on it and a few mixtures of them like an orange, grey and a brown. But I am not quite sure.
