I hope it will be good.
Hi Matti, thanks for sharing the new features in the new PURE RAW 4. Having better noise reduction is a big plus, and even if that was the only new feature it's still worth upgrading. Having better noise reduction is a big help especially if your camera is not a high end camera. The better noise reduction will be good if you have a cheaper camera or an older one. Great news I learned something new today, thanks 😊
My pleasure!
@@mattisulanto Thanks Matti 😊
its still handy. but considering i tried PhotoLab, its made me wanna ditch Affinity Photo entirely (unless Serif step up their denoise game) and go exclusive with PhotoLab.
i dont want my images soft so i go a little easy with denoise. enough to not see it, but enough to keep the authenticity.
i ended up going with Standard so its like, an all-rounder? using it with a Lumix 12-60 lens makes it almost feel like i used a Leica 12-60! but it also helped with the sharpness for the 18-45mm Canon RF-S lens.
Thanks for the good review. Based on your previous reviews, I use v3 for all my photos taken on my G85 and GH6. I want as least amount of noise as possible. Two questions: is the preview available when using the stand-alone app? Did you notice a change in processing time?
The preview is available in both versions. I did not time the processing but it felt similar in both versions.
I have just used the free trial but it was highly effective. I shoot with M43 and sometimes even 1600 ISO is noisy. PureRaw eliminates some of the disadvantages of M43 low light performance. I actually won an award at an art show with an image that I denoised with PureRaw. Will buy it soon, highly recommended.
Thanks for sharing your experience with PureRAW.
I shoot m4/3 too and I think apps like PureRAW and Topaz Photo AI are absolute game changers for us!
Good review ... Will you be reviewing OnOne NoNoise 2024 ? Thanks 👍
Thanks. That's another possible topic for the future.
I took the 14 day trial for a test drive. I like products that have some sort of a trial mechanism. Compared to Version 2, this Version 4 seems slower, more refined in controls because you can fine tune. But it is full price upgrade from Version 2 and on balance, I am happy with Version 2, my use case is I want something automatic, so not buying this time. Thanks for this video.
Thanks my friend. I think if you can tolerate some noise the version 2 will do just nicely.
How does it compare to LR own Denoise AI? I suspect it's better but how much. I use LR Denoise AI since that's what I got. I am also pleased by results.
Yeah, a product would have to be a revolutionary step beyond Lightroom Denoise AI for me to consider paying for it at this point, as Denoise is very sufficient for me in almost every case I want it.
lightroom denoise ai is a toy compared to dxo
I just read: "nose free sharp photos".... omg
It seems to be an amazing tool, but a bit of noise doesn't bother me at all, especially so in low light when imo noise is normal and expected.
Thanks for sharing. Some people think noise is just fine and some like smooth noise free photos.
Just like the current DxO Photolab, DxO PureRAW cannot process 14-bit RAW files from the new OM System OM-1 Mark II. I have already reported the bug to DxO. I wonder when the problem will be fixed.
That's interesting because PureRAW can handle other 14 bit files.
@@mattisulanto That's right. The predecessor OM-1 could only create 12-bit RAW files. The OM-1 Mark II has only recently become available and has only been supported by the DxO software since March 5th.
Perhaps DxO simply overlooked the fact that the new camera can also write 14-bit RAW files. 😆
The color shifting is a little disappointing, but topaz does this too.
I find DxO does a much better job at the noise reduction and detail. I haven't noticed the color shift in DxO, but I'm always running and gunning, so just leave AWB on and correct in post.
@@BuildingByFaith I agree. I don't use pureRaw on its own, but only with pl7. I still use topaz for things like expanding or minor sharpening, so it's easy to see the effect it can have on color
Do you know if version 4 is included with Photolab 7 Elite?
I just updated my PL7 and it seems that is still uses the previous version of the noise reduction. The same as PureRAW3, that is. Maybe there will be an update for PL7 later that adds the latest noise reduction.
@@mattisulantomentioned xd2 settings seems to be already included in the same tab as denoise setting in photolab (6 😂).
real time preview could be the new fuctionality, which is missing in photolab.
@@miso56 You probably have a special version of PL6 because my PL6 and PL7 only show DeePRIME XD. Good for you😂😂
How does il work with .RAF Fujifilm?
I don't have any noisy Fuji files with me so I can't say. However, DxO says it will work well with Fuji.
it's brilliant
Does deep prime xd2 work with RAF files.
Is it compatible with Sony a7IV and a7s Mark I ?
It should be compatible with the Sony models you mentioned. There is a free trial version available so you can try before you buy.

What is that PureRAW-program? Are it somekind lightroom revival?
I think I explained it in the video😀 It's a noise reduction and lens correction app.
