Tens of thousands protest in Malmo against Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest

Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest to be held tonight was protested by tens of thousands of people in Malmö, Sweden, the host of the organization.
Approximately 30 thousand people gathered at the Great Square (Stor Torget) with the call of many non-governmental organizations in the country and demanded that Israel be excluded from the Eurovision Song Contest.
The demonstrators carrying banners reading "Children are being killed in Gaza", "Stop the genocide" and "Palestine forever" as well as models representing children killed in Gaza, chanted slogans such as "Free Palestine", "End the occupation" and "Murderer Israel".
In the speech made here, it was pointed out that Israel has been raining bombs on Palestinians for nearly 200 days without calling them children, babies, elderly and women, and the invitation of genocidal Israel to Eurovision was characterized as hypocrisy.
The grand final of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest will be held tonight at 21.00 TS with the organization of the EBU and Swedish state television SVT. Guests are not allowed to enter with the Palestinian flag.
