  • In this video I show how I adjust the sawblade parallel to the miter grooves in the table of the Makita 2704 table saw.
    Presented in a monotonous and un-exiting voice!

      Thanks Peter! The whole reason I made this video was because I could’nt find it myself.

    Hi. soo good ... I´m thinking to buy this Makita 2704 or go to next level of table saw, but I ´m not sure. So could you help me please? And also, I would like to ask you if this task ("adjusting the blade") is every time when you need to cut? thank you...

    Thanks for vid! Have you had any luck with the fence being straight after you pull out the side table for wider wood?

    Thank you for the video. I have recently brought this table saw. Does your right extension table sit lower than the main table? Many thanks.

      Hello Neil! Thanks for watching the video. Sorry for the late reply. I just checked, and yes, it’s about 1 mm lower (1/32"-ish)

    Hi. Do you think this table saw is capable of rip cutting oak logs 9 cm thick?

    • @atikam2956
      @atikam2956  3 роки тому

      Hello! Yes, with the right blade (rip blade) it will be able to rip 90 mm oak logs. The cut capacity of the 2704 is 91 mm in height. Just take it easy and dont go to fast.

    Nicely done, but how ridiculous of makita to design it in such a way that you have to turn it over to calibrate it.

    Is it the same process for the Makita MLaT100?

      Same question? Them 2 hex nuts are there but I loosened them and the carriage doesn’t budge 🤔

    Hi, I've just watched your video and think you overworked the whole process. First of all - you really don't need to tip your saw over and dissassemble it. Those two screws are also accesible through a tiny slot (10x100 mm) right under the table and above the bevel angle wheel. They are hex headed so you need a 10mm wrench to turn them. It's a bit pain in tne ..., but still more convenient than tossing a saw around the shop.
    And second - use a dial indicator instead of a ruler, it would allow you to make more precise adjustment. Looking at the indicator's readout move the carriage with a flathead screwdriver until both readouts are the same, then tighten the screws. 5 min job.
