This is the first time I have heard about the long-term sequelae of LRTI surgery, some of which I am experiencing now after almost 2 years out from the operation. I have lost grip strength, and my hand size went from a 6.5 glove to a 6. This has affected my #1 hobby and passion in life. I would not recommend LRTI surgery to anyone unless they have explored other options first. While some people have had excellent results, my results are suboptimal. I feel as though my hand has been mutilated.
