I love it! I remember when my older brother brought home the first VH album in the late 70's and I heard Jamie's Crying. I learned to play guitar because of EVH. The coveted Brown Sound. That's in W's blood. So much talent in that family. 3 generations of music composers. March on, Van Halens!

I grew up listening to Van Halen as Ed was a few yrs older than me. Wolfgang is an incredibly talented human Making his Dads spirit dance, his Mom beam & all of us who watched him with his dad are saying "Damn boy you got what it takes and more" Your gonna a God in your own right"
After listening to multiple tracks off of this album, I can truly say... "ALL killer... with NO filler..." This has been worth waiting for. Wolf has brought intensity, skill, and creativity back to songwriting. Add to that, Wolf can sing, and there isn't an instrument he can't play. Wolf isn't his Dad... but nobody ever expected that he would be. Wolf is his own creation, with no limits. I'm blown away listening to these tracks. Not only do I love this (the entire album is good) but I'm going to get others to listen too. This doesn't sound like the "Van Halen" that I grew up with... and that's really fine with me. Wolf is going to carve out his own niche in the world of music, and I'm happy he has his own creative fire to burn. Wolf's light is bright enough, that he won't ever have to worry about walking in the shadow of his Dad. Ed was an amazing talent... and you can hear nuances of his father's playing, when his son picks up a guitar. Rock on, Wolf... you've got nothing to prove. I can't wait to see your music evolve over years of playing it. Songwriting is an entirely different talent from playing an instrument.... and you have THAT talent too. Write about what moves you... and never be afraid to call things what they are.
As much as it feels like it these days on modern radio, rock is NOT dead, thanks to Wolfgang Van Halen - thank goodness! Keep up the amazing work, young man, you're keeping the genre, and you father's legacy, alive!

You can believe that Eddy pushed that on WVH. I saw a video of Wolfgang talking about asking his Dad if he could use the name Mammoth for his band. And his Dad said , that would be so cool... I would really like that, but there's one thing I have to say about it. I'm honored that you want to use the name , but make it stand up for you. Make it and yourself , completely your own. Make sure it's not only about family, but rather make the music your own passion and influence. The video was only talking, no pics. So, I'm not sure if it was the real deal or not, just sharing with you something I heard.👍

If WVH I'd doing the drumming on this one, & I'm pretty sure he is, I am just dumbfounded at the mastery of these fills. While we already know his Dad is beaming down with pride, & his Mom is his greatest champion, Uncle Alex might just be passing out cigars after hearing this one. Way to go, Wolfie!!!

Just binged on the mammmoth wvh album. Holy crap. I loved every song. I can remember buying albums, 8 tracks, yes, 8 tracks, and cassettes because I only really was into ONE song. This young man is leading his own way. Gonna bust down some doors. He has his on sound, and I love it. I smiled the time or two that there was a guitar riff that was “sorta” like his dad. Yeah. He is amazing. You have a 62 year old woman that drove a pinto in the late 70’s that is INTO Wolfgang Van Halen.

Wow. This is shaping up to be THE Rock album of 2021. Every song so far has been great, from construction to performance showing what an immense talent this guy is. And when you consider the pressure and pedigree of WVH, it is that much more impressive.... and love the Madonna nod. :)

Wolf Van Halen Rocks! I have commented on every release of his. I'm soon to be 54,and have been a VH fan since 1977......Yeah, a long time! What impresses me about Wolf,just like Eddie is each song is different. Not an album full of songs that sound similiar,but all different. The VH legacy continues through WVH. I do hope he eventually really leans into more melodic rock. I just kinda think he's getting his feet wet and trying to find his sound. I think he will soon.

I thought Mammoth WVH could not top their last releases but I stand corrected. Another awesome song showcasing all instruments including a vocal counterpoint that would shock the socks of off Wolf’s namesake. What an elaborate composition with heart and punishing strength to make a mainstream push and be featured in the metal scene. The bass showcasing is well deserved since bassists don’t get credit. Nicely done my friend.
I dont want to sound like a sith lord here or anything, but I absolutely, will watch over Wolf's career with great interest.

Not one bad song on this debut album, everything freakin rocks.... Love every song, no heavy reliance on technique and chops When it comes to the guitar solos, solos are just right and feel for days. Man this just an all out awesome album. The songs are superb and emotive, beautiful works, the riffs and rhythm guitars kicks the door in. And the production.... awesome.

This has my favorite drumming so far. Love the little mini drum solo during the breakdown. Such an impressive debut, Wolf. Think It Over is still my favorite, but love all the songs so far. First album I'm excited about since Tool's Fear Inoculum.
