Awesome review Rob. Good pricing as well for somebody that wants to get into smoking for the first time without spending hundreds of dollars. These are well worth the price, very affordable.

Thanks Scott! No doubt man. I got myself a Pit Boss wood chip smoker years ago to learn. A little cheap one. I still have it. lol. Seems East Oak did a good job with these. Always appreciate you my friend. ✌🏼

Great review Rob...this is a perfect instructional video for people wanting to learn how to use the smoker. I like having the glass door and the remote on the one model. I love using a smoker for meats bc you can set it and forget it. 😉I've never smoked vegetables, so I was glad to see that. Your chicken and veggies turned out beautifully. 😋😊

Just got my new east oak basic! Moving from a traditional to an electric set it and forget it.... im getting old 😅 Can't wait to smoke a brisket this weekend! *And pork belly burnt ends*

Hey congratulations! I tell ya. The basic model actually seems to hold temps better. At least on the two I compared. I just did pork belly burnt ends for the first time. Not in my East Oak. I probably should have. I overcooked them. Bummer. If you remember, let me know how yours turn out. Thanks for commenting!

They seem like they would work. They're similar to Jessie's masterbuilt one, but it's on a stand. Very cool that they sent them to you to test out. Those are awesome items to review. I have yet to get any offers on my cooking channel, but guess it's just not big enough yet. Maybe one day. You did a great review. I like that you gave us an actual demonstration. Now if only we could have sampled the food 😂

Oh yeah. Totally. Pretty much cabinet smokers are similar. They did a really good job on the chicken. I was actually very surprised they contacted us. It was a bit difficult to get this all worked out but I enjoyed the experience. Tori and Dawn helped a great deal. If it wasn’t for them, I probably wouldn’t have gotten this done.

It says in the directions that you are not supposed to use an extension cord. Also be aware that there is a styrofoam piece on the top inside the smoker. I almost missed it and it would have been a mess. This is a solid unit for the money!

Hey! A few choices. A whole chicken will take the less time. A pork butt is pretty forgiving. Perhaps baby back ribs? I will tell you that it takes quite a while for these smokers to come to temp. Keep that in mind when planning. If you remember, let me know how your first cook goes. Appreciate you.
