What a great song. It’s going to be so cool when my now ten year old daughter can tell her kids that the modern hip hop rapped about America, it’s freedoms and how great it is to be American.
I don’t let my kid listen to the rap I listened to as a kid. I hear the lyrics now as an adult….appalled that i not only listened to the rap of my time but JAMMED the verses about being disrespectful to women and skirting the law. (They had good beats though).
To hang out with my child and enjoy the same music; music with lyrics about getting married, family, standing up for freedom (even for the Americans who want to silence us) saving/investing to create generational wealth and general clowning of the woke, pro corporation sheep is priceless.
It’s wonderful when she asks questions about what some of the songs/verses mean and we can have a discussion about our God given rights and what it means to be American. This is a crazy where I'm listening to this song for about nine months being a mixed black and Hispanic male myself. There are things I may disagree with but there is alot of truth in this song to. I'm a rap fan but this song seems like it is not going to get old anytime soon because there is too much truth in it. Single Motherhood, Inflation, drug dealers blaming the system, black on black crime, blaming white people for everything bad, voting the same way for generations. That's why as I got older I don't one way down the board because some of these politicians be proposing stupid ideas like forcing vaccinations on people to de-funding police departments like people that live in the ghettos don't need safety.
