There is no logical reason to be afraid of spiders. It's just a psychological thing. The vast majority of spiders cannot harm humans in any way. They seem creepy, almost alienlike to us, thats why most people feel repulsion upon seeing them. But in fact, spiders are not only a very important part of the ecosystem, but should also be a welcome one to us. I have a weak case of arachnophobia; because my mother always used to scream her lungs out on seeing a spider when I was very young, at some point I started to be afraid of them too - like, if my mother who knows more about life is afraid of them, I should be too, right?
