Picked up the same resistors.. Installed on my 07 new body.. Had to install 3 resistors on drivers side...
Copied on the right side and still hyperflash on passenger side.. Now upgraded to tow mirrors with turn signals. Drivers side now hyperflashes intermittently again.. Have not installed passenger side.
Just did this on my 08 GMC. Saved me the time of looking up the wiring schematic. Thanks a lot bud.
Best one I’ve seen so far
im sure you’ll be alright bro. good job👍🏿
Thanks for the video buddy. Exactly what I was looking for
Glad I could help
Thanks for the video, I was looking for a video to add my switch back to the led light,on my Chevy Silverado 1500.
No problem! Thanks for watching
Oh man you will be revisiting this project again in a year or so them connectors will corrode hope u live down south where u see no snow
Not what I wanted to hear lol
I’ve had resistors on my 09 Silverado tapped in just like that for 10 years now and still working great but I live in south Alabama
I appreciate this video brother ,I have been looking for a LED capatable relay flasher but they don't make it for our 07-13 GM I got a 2013 Chevy avalanche
what did you end up doing i was looking for one for a 08 suburban
@@josephhltx9403 resistors on all the LEDs
Right on Bro! do you really need a 50W resistor?
Hey I watched and did the same thing from the video one side works and the other the switch backs stay solid Amber the whole time like no white when driving
Awesome!!!! Thank you so much. I just spent hours trying to figure it out. I knew I was using the correct wires to tap into, but I had no idea about the second resistor hook-up or where. Wow! I originally searched but did find your video or any other, until now...my second go around after banging my head into a brick wall.
Again, thank you for the help. God bless.
Curious, how did you find out?
Follow up... I am experiencing Hyper flash on the driver side, but normal flashing on the passenger side. I give up, unless someone has an answer. HELP.
Note: I have the resisters soldered to the wires and close to the sockets, the same on each side. I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500.
Add'll info: I have had LED's installed everywhere without problems, with resisters also in the rear for those led directionals. once installing the switch backs in the front directional sockets, problems as noted. I installed newer LEDs in the rear too. The resisters in the rear are not soldered, thinking there is a connection issue there.
I will check the rear resistor connections tomorrow.
If anyone has any helpful input, please reply to this and I will read.
Thanks.
Glad it helped!
5k view. Thanks from all of us
Did you try switching your stock flasher relay to an LED flasher relay? Much easier fix than adding resistors
08 gmc does not have a relay that can be replaced
Neither does the 2012 ram 1500.
Do you only have to do it to one head light or both?
Both
Is it 4 resistors (2 for each headlight) or just 2 resistors for 1 side? I’ve seen both on UA-cam and now I’m confused.
The ones I got is one resistor per bulb. So 2 per side and n this particular vehicle
Here’s my question. I’ve got a 2013 Chevy 2500 with dual turn signals up front, same as you. Can we not just trace the wires further into the harness, past the point where you wired your resistors in, where the number of ground/power wires is less, that way you’d only have to use 1 resistor per side?
So if it hyper flashes even with the resistors installed, turning the vehicle on will make it go away?
Are you sure you need a resistor on each bulb I don’t think you do pretty sure you just need one on each side cause by this logic if you put LEDs in the rear now you gotta do that to
honestly not sure but better safe than sorry i guess. Also depending on what LED taillights you buy some already come with the resistors preinstalled
@@LanierLawnCare no your right you have to put one on every bulb 8 dame resistors total sheesh
I may have to unsubscribe just for you using scotch connectors.... Those things are GARBAGE!
Also I don't know if you knew this or not but you can replace your flasher with a electronic plug in flasher which has preset flash timing rather than load breaking that relies on a certain load to operate. However I am sure this video will help out someone. Just use strippers and pull the insulation back mid wire and wrap new wire around that section and solder it for best connection. Even just wrapping the wire around and electrical taping would be better than those connectors.
Do you know where I can get this flasher relay at?
@@KenMrKLCflash is controlled by BCM. Your advice won't work in this case.
