A fabulous performance of this great masterpiece!
I will never forget your performance of this magnificent sonata. Incredible technically, so very impressive!
Astonishing! I literally knocked over my chair springing to my feet to applaud and cheer!🎉
Kenny Broberg
Part of his 2017 Preliminary Recital
Samuel Barber (1910-1981)
Sonata Op. 26
0:00 - I. Allegro energico
7:01 - II. Allegro vivace e leggero
9:20 - III. Adagio mesto
14:23 - IV. Fuga. Allegro con spirito
The Adagio movement is one of the hidden challenges in the repertoire. The voicing and expression here is legendary! And the Fuga! Each voice is so clear and eloquent!❤
Kenny Broberg presents here the top of pianistic art. the route runs at the limit of performance along the way. Gratulations! Thank you for sharing this splendid experience.
What an incredible piece, played at highest level. The 3rd movement is pure magic. I can hear all melody lines and the different interacting themes. Congratulations
I played this Sonata for my master’s recital. Amazing work ….extremely difficult.
Learning this Sonata right now, and it is indeed difficult, especially that Fugue finale.
@@SCRIABINIST yes! It is very difficult, but you will be amazed as what your mind can do! Best of luck!
Very good !!!
You deserve congratulations!

Great great performance
Beautiful. Thank you.
A fantastic rendition!
Phenomenal!
I. 0:02
II. 7:03
III. 9:21
IV. 14:24
Quelle originalité , ce scherzo !!
Curiously, it was Van Cliburn's version of this that turned me on to this music.
Same here! Seems to me the Prokofiev 6th was on the flip side of that album. But yeah, a very romantic interpretation (as I suppose one would expect from Cliburn).
Stunning and comparable to Horowitz.
