NVT 4 white phosphor tubes, in a more urban setting, 1/4 moon overcast, and light pollution from Orlando.. * note* I could see a little better than what the phone was picking up as far as ambient lighting conditions. Thank you so much for all the Jerry/NNVT content. You doing gods work, no joke. Everyone is hating on NNVT, but you literally dont need more than that.
Yes, NVT-5, L3 or photonis is less noisy and a little bit brighter.. but you dont NEED it.

I’ve heard yes and no, they have some type of protection for sure it may not be the traditional type of autogating but it presents the same way when using them compared to the Gen3 units I’ve used. Tubes are very robust, they handle white light very well as far as durability with a bit more lens flare than carson glass.. and the addition of chromatic aberration which can be minimized by adjusting the gain.
