Great video. I feel like you don’t need the back of each planner. So just insert the cover page followed by all your pages. The next cover page inserted would be enough to divide it while reducing the bulk.
I’ve done this for years. Loving to be able to carry all of the planners I need, but just have one planner to carry. Loved it! Mine had two monthly/weekly spreads (one for regular plans and one for work and social media), a budget section, meal plan section, and notes. Always called it my Franken-Planner-Stein! Lol

love this, because although I liked the frankenplan, i loved some other covers on the other Happy Planners so was having a hard time on what to do. So this way to organize my planners is definitly a life saver for me !!!

I love so many of your ideas. I live in my planners. This will be the first year I have a HP though and I hope to use only 2 planners. I am older now, but when all 6 kids were at home and adding in having our 6 foster kids, I had to make my own designs for many portions of my planners to fit that many kids. Then I also color coded each child because it was more efficient to just use dots of color instead of their full name, LOL. Thanks for inspiring me to get my planners filled with such fun things.

New subscriber here. I am wanting to set up my July lineup of Planners as a transformer Planner. I’ve been trying to figure it out and what I need and don’t need. Hi again... Love watching your videos! This will be my first year using a Happy Planner. And I wanna love this way of setting up a planner. But, it seems like too much bulk. I have always been a "everything within one month" type planner person. I made my own inserts for budget, meals, to-do lists, etc that all fit into a monthly section (each month would have 6 or so pages extra inserted right behind the individual weeks sheets so everything is accessible for a complete month within a minimal amount of pages),. Then a simple divider between each month. I am not so sure I would like having to flip to a completely separate section to add something to a list. I get excited watching all you wonderful "planner ladies", it makes me wish I could afford several planners and embrace bulkiness.

~ Kimmer, you definitely have a super efficient way of planning, and I love the idea of that! I’ve planned in similar ways previously. The transformer is a bit bulkier, like you mentioned, but one of the major appeals to me is the designs and covers of the Happy Planners! The colors and decorations just make me happy and encourage me to open my planners again, day after day! I spent all of 2018 in Personal Rings and I’m ready for a new system! 📒
Two months would be nice too. I've seen a video of it but didn't know what it was called. I noticed I could use my deluxe cover to do this. I would have to leave the deluxe cover off. Great video

Super Helpful Video! I'm new to the Happy Planner world. Holy Smokes this could get addicting!!! This is my favorite; combining planners! It has been hard to decide the best way to set up my planner when I like SO MANY pieces of several different planners. I chose the Large planner because my handwriting is terrible and I am former teacher/forever a teacher. :) I loved my teacher planning book. I'm in Ed Software/IT now and have tried "business" planners and none have fit my needs. I'm looking forward to using the Happy Planner. I want all things in one place: work, family, "me". Any advice and tips and tricks is welcomed!

DejaDrewit, yes, it definitely can get pricey if you’re purchasing 3 or 4 Happy Planners to make this work. It’s definitely not a planning method if someone is looking to plan on a budget. The good news is that Michaels and Joann’s often have sales that make these planners totally affordable! I only wait for the big sales, like BOGOs, to get my supplies.
this seems like Franken planning repackaged. am I wrong about that, can someone help me understand?
Courtney, you’re right, it’s very similar to Franken Planning. The main difference is that you keep the original covers to all your planners and keep the inserts of the planners all separate as well. My understanding of Franken Planning is just keeping the inserts from several different planners, and not all of the covers. I hope that helps! There are also some good videos on the difference between Franken Planning and the Transformer Planner on UA-cam!

Do they have any less feminine designs. I love these sets ups but they're too feminine for me
D H , I’ll agree that most of their designs are pretty feminine. There are some that are more minimalistic and don’t have as much decoration on the inside and those may be more your style. I suggest looking up Happy Planners at Michaels, Joann’s, Hobby Lobby, and the Happy Planner website to check out all of their designs!
the happy planner uses a discbound system, there are other brands that are plainer and don't have such decorative covers. You could also make your own out of cardstock and have them laminated, but you would have to hole punch them yourself. Each brand has their own hole punchers (I believe there are some "universal" ones too) or you can use a single hole puncher just by matching it to an original page then using scissors to cut little slits from the punched holes to the edge of the paper/cover. there are tutorials on youtube for this too! Personally I love the happy planner covers and dividers so I'll be keeping them to use over and over (laminating the dividers) to save trees. And then i bought the hole punch to make my own refills! There are probably covers sold on Etsy!
I saw some “make it yourself” cover sleeves at Hobby Lobby.
