Although I've never been there, you are at one of my favorite places that people have posted on UA-cam....Fortuna Lake. I hope you are feeling better today. I'll have to try some of those little hand warmers. I usually use my heating pad when I'm having issues, but sometimes it's just bulky enough that you can't get it in the places or curves you really need. I bet lying on some hot sand, with a towel underneath you, would feel good. Loved the drive. Be safe.

It was suggested to me and my aunt with our chemo to take Claritin daily to keep down or prevent the bone pain. The oncologist suggested it and it worked for us. I knows it's an antihistamine or allergy Med but it worked. Kept us off the pain pills.
So true Bone pain is horrible. Try and keep the pain pills to minimum if possible...they're bad long term. But Yes more whitte blood cells stimulating immune system, will also create histamines. Definitely helps ease bone pain!! :-) Not the Claritin D- ~ Priscilla
Happy to see you out and back on the road. We found the third day was a rough day for my sister. Try breaking the pain pill in half if it is not extended release. Feel better. Get you a hot water bottle. Little heat may help with aching.

I had breast cancer 3 years ago and had to have that Neulesta sp? shot the day after chemo. Bone pain is no friggin joke! Every single tooth in my head hurt and my hips and feet. I feel for you! My doc told me to take Claritin, for the bone pain and it helped.

I wonder if that's the way my daughter drove me from Oceanside to Virginia last year. She flew me out to visit her and I had a breathing event on flight and they won't let me fly again so she had to drive me back to VA cross country. we always wanted to drive cross-country together that just wasn't the way lol 😅. Hey Becky, I'm with you on choice of roads to travel on. I would rather chose the country, twisty windy roads over the boring highways. One of the things I want to do is travel across country on the back roads to see and enjoy other ways of how some others live. I want to see what Back Roads of America is like.

I'm a nurse suggesting Advil 800 mg every 6-8 hours is what you need for bone pain. Just don't take more than that. Definitely eat something before and take Prevacid to prevent stomach upset if you need it.
You probably tried to do too much too fast and I understand why. The drive down was pretty- kind of like riding on a roller coaster! I'm sure your friends are happy to see you as much as you are them! Slow down and enjoy your days. It looks like a cool camp 👌
Might not want to mention where you are camping when you name other UA-camrs you are camping with. Some of them are trying to avoid unwanted attention from trolls and stalkers.
